System Science And Management Introduction
Program Sarjanamuda Teknologi Maklumat dengan Kepujian (Sains dan Pengurusan Sistem)
mula ditawarkan oleh Jabatan Sains dan Pengurusan Sistem pada tahun 1994 iaitu serentak dengan penubuhan FTSM. Disiplin Sistem Maklumat bertujuan untuk membangunkan sumber
manusia yang mahir dalam bidang kejuruteraan, pembangunan dan pentadbiran sistem maklumat
untuk menyokong Agenda Teknologi Maklumat Negara (NITA). Di samping itu, program ini berhasrat melahirkan profesional komputeran yang menguasai pengetahuan bisnes dan
berkemahiran tinggi dalam membangunkan sistem maklumat bagi menyelesaikan masalah
organisasi dan bisnes bagi menyokong fungsi pengurusan bisnes. Justeru, strategi untuk mencapai misi ini adalah dengan menggerakkan kesemua daya usaha dan jentera program
untuk menghasilkan graduan yang memahami bisnes dan menguasai teras amalan profesional
komputeran iaitu pengaturcaraan, sistem, permodelan dan inovasi.
Objective
The Bachelors degree in Information Technology (System Science And Management) programme aims to produce graduates:
• Introduce philosophy, concept and problem solving techniques in information systems. • Equip students with required knowledge and skills to pioneer and enhance information
system applications in the nation.
• Equip students with skills in analyzing information requirement in order to develop useful information system in supporting organizational decision.
• Equip students with information system applications in service industry (such as
healthcare, finance and business). • Produce ethical graduates that possess interpersonal communication skills, able to work
in team and have entrepreneurial minded in information technology.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the Bachelor of Information Technology (System Science And Management)
program, graduates are able to:
• Apply problem solving principle in information system development. • Model information and process requirement for organizational business as well as
develop systems that align with organizational mission.
• Apply information technology for service industry. •. Apply business intelligence, decision support systems, enterprise information systems
and knowledge management systems for organization.
• Utilise data definition language and data manipulation language in database
management system. • Administer and manage database security.
• Audit the application of information technology and information system.
• Develop advanced application in multiple n tiers and platforms.
