The annual expo is organized to achieve the following objectives: To open up opportunity for students to meet and interact with representatives from the industries and agencies;

EMPLOYER EXPECTATION INDEX, EEI

This study investigates the expectations that employers have toward Universiti Putra Malaysia’s (UPM) graduates in their organization in termsof job performance.

The study is important for us to know whether our graduates are relevant to job market globally and locally.

Sampling frame was from 2012 -2013 UPM’s Graduate Tracer Survey (more than >3,000 employers).

The sampling methods are convenient sampling (quantitative) and purposive sampling* (qualitative).

The mode of the study is mix method. The first phase was quantitative and the second phase (still ongoing) is qualitative.

Survey was conducted by postal, online and interviews.

The result of the study is only valid for the UPM graduates and not general for other public universities in Malaysia.

Also, the result of the study will be presented to the head of faculties in efforts to improve UPM’s graduate marketability/employability.

Malaysian Government has came out with a GE Blueprint (2012-2017) focuses on strenthening graduate employability and has established a taskforce with an allocation of RM200 million.
