Answer all question

1 A student carries out an experiment to investigate the relationship between theextension, e, of a spring and the mass of its load, m. The apparatus is set up asshown in Diagram 1.1. The original length of the spring, lo is shown inDiagram 1.2.

The load of 50 g is hung from the end of the spring. The length of spring, l ismeasured by using a metre rule. The procedure of the experiment is repeated byusing mass, m = 100g, 150g, 200g and 250g.

Diagram 1.3, 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6 show the actual corresponding readings of thelength of spring, l.

(a) For the experiment described above, identify:

(i) The manipulated variable

2 A student carries out an experiment to investigate the relationship between thepressure, P and the temperature, T of a fixed mass of air at constant volume.The results of the experiment are shown in the graph of P against T inDiagram 2.1.

(a) Based on the graph in Diagram 2.1.

(i) State the relationship between P and T.

Answer any one question

3 Diagram 3.1 and 3.2 show two wooden tops. One of tops is partly coated with tin.Both tops are the same size and are rotated with the same velocity.

Diagram 3.2 shows the top which is partly coated with tin table to spin longer.

Based on the above information and observations:

(c) With the use of apparatus such as a hacksaw blade, plasticine and otherapparatus, describe an experiment framework to investigate thehypothesis stated in 3 (b).

4 Diagram 4.1 shows a fisherman starting his fishing journey in the morning.Diagram 4.2 shows the fisherman returning with a boat loaded with fish. The boatsinks deeper into the water.

Based on the above information and observation:
