More than 25 years’ experience in glass processing industry with a successful background in Sales and Marke�ng venues. Currently the Execu�ve Director of Ajiya Safety Glass Sdn. Bhd., a na�on’s pioneer in Malaysia’s architectural glass processing industry which its principal ac�vi�es include manufacturing of safety and security architectural glasses under the renowned brand name of AJIYA. Elected as malaysiaGBC President for terms 2021-2023 during the recent elec�on. He believes that glass play an integral role not only in architectural and designs, but also contribu�ng to a more sustainable built environment.

Mr. Oliver Chan “Oli” is the Senior Vice President in Arthaland. He has about 20 accumula�ve years of experience in the real estate industry, making sustainable projects a business case for investors, clients, and customers. Being one of the early members of the company, he was able to help shaped and grow the company to what it is today. His involvement in the design, sales, marke�ng, and opera�ons of the Arthaland developments allows him to ensure the holis�c delivery of healthy and green performance of the projects. Because of his strong background, he is concurrently the General Manager and President of Arthaland Pres�ge Property Solu�ons.

Nic Chin is the Founder and Director of Green Quarter Sdn Bhd, a leading expert in the energy and green consul�ng in Malaysia. He embarked his journey in Green since 2005, gaining experience in Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Building Design by working with various reputable companies in the sustainable building industry. He was also formerly a Component Consultant at the United Na�ons Developement Programme, Building Sector Energy Efficiency Project (BSEEP), having wri�en guidelines on Ac�ve and Passive Designs.

With a deep passion in crea�ng an environment that enhances People’s experience by designing occupant focused green buildings that are comfortable, healthy and of quality, the work of Green Quarter have been recognized through different awards naming a few, being 2nd Runner Up in ASEAN Energy Awards 2020 & Runner Up in Na�onal Energy Award; and Notable achievement award in Environment performance in Prime MInister’s Hibiscus Award 2020.

Holding to the belief that an organiza�on exist not for it own, but for the greater good of the community and beyond, Nic is very much involved and engaged with various non-profit organiza�ons and volunteering ac�vi�es beyond building Green Quarter on both profession-al and personal front with his family.

Mr Tan Lin Hai is currently serving as Chief Architect in Building Control Department, City Council of Penang Island, Malaysia. He graduated from The University Of Adelaide, South Australia and joined City Council of Penang Island (MBPP) since 2003. Over the years, he developed a deep passion in the work and ac�vely involved in improve-ments in built environment, par�cular in green buildings, smart ci�es & low carbon ci�es framework & ini�a�ves to ensure a sustainable environment in Penang. He is also ac�vely involved in many various projects incorpora�ng green, sustainability features in design, and playing important role in obtaining GBI Cer�fica�on for new build-ings in City Council, ie. Relau Sport Complex, sPice, Chowrasta Market, etc. He devotes his �me to promote green ini�a�ves and public awareness through providing exper�se & knowledge sharing in various working groups/ commi�ees, workshops, forums, community engagement programs, as well as knowledge sharing in interna�onal level Forum. Ie. delega�on in ‘Integrated Sustainable Solu�on on Smart Ci�es (2018, Korea). Along his career with MBPP, he has contributed his effort, persistence and exper�se to increase the produc�vity and quality of service delivery in the Department. Par�cularly In the era of Pandemic Covid 19, great emphasis had been placed on various policy, workflow to facilitate the recovery of construc�on sector.

Shonn Mills is a champion of design and innova�on with over 30 years of experience in the design and management of large building and transport infrastructure projects.He started his career as a bridge designer in the having the opportunity to work on several long-span suspension bridges in California and the west coast of the United States. Upon moving to London moved his career in building engineering focusing on long-span projects including stadiums, airport terminals and metro sta�ons. This experience soon led him into the design of complex building structures including high rise buildings.In 2014 he relocated to Singapore to start Ramboll Buildings Asia opera�on and con�nue applying his exper�se on tall buildings structures. Ramboll reorganized into Global Divisions when he took the Global leadership role for High Rise Building.Shonn’s philosophy is that engineering leadership should be focussed on the quality of the product. He is recognized for his comprehensive cross-discipline knowledge in Tall Buildings and besides management of the department ac�vely provides technical leadership and oversight for key projects in the por�olio.He is ac�vely involved in the Council for Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) and member of the board of Trustees.

Rachel joined the Interna�onal WELL Building Ins�tute (IWBI) in November 2016, bringing her broad sustainability exper�se and her track record as a leading global advocate for green schools, movement building and social equity to IWBI’s work to advance human health through be�er buildings, more vibrant communi�es and stronger organiza�ons. She was named president of IWBI in 2018 and CEO in November 2020. With over 2.5 billion square feet of space registered, rated or cer�fied in 97 countries, IWBI’s evidence-based WELL offerings anchor an ecosystem of solu�ons that advance, measure and monitor real estate features that help people thrive.Prior to joining IWBI, Rachel was with the U.S. Green Building Council, where she founded the Center for Green Schools, which mobilized $275B+ investments in LEED-cer�fied educa�onal facili�es, deployed over 750,000 volunteers in 73 countries to transform schools on every con�nent, and published 1,000+ pages of technical guides and original research. She also established the organiza-�on’s vast knowledge network that served the needs of more than 200,000 LEED APs, helping LEED become the world’s most widely used green building ra�ng system.

A lesson that we have learned through the pandemic is that those who have the least suffer the most, including when it comes to climate change and climate justice. The industry must embed sustainability into everyday operations to accelerate our pace of change and progress

Ms Soon Su Lin is the CEO-Development of One Bangkok, a fully-integrated district and the largest private sector property development in Thailand. It is a joint venture between Frasers Property (Holdings) Thailand (FPHT) and TCC Assets.Prior to joining FPHT in 2016, Ms Soon built up almost 30 years of experience in the real estate industry, covering consultancy, investment sales, leasing and property development. Her last posi�on was Chief Execu�ve Officer for Orchard Turn Developments, which devel-oped ION Orchard retail mall and The Orchard Residences in the heart of Singapore’s Orchard Road.Ms Soon was previously Execu�ve Director of interna�onal property consultancy firm CBRE, where she received the pres�gious CBRE Top Leadership Award in Asia-Pacific in 2005.

Ms Soon graduated with an Honours degree in Real Estate in 1983 and a Master’s degree in Business Administra�on in 1991, specializing in Marke�ng and Interna�onal Business, from the Na�onal University of Singapore.
