DAY 1

1.1 An overview of KSSR

It consists of the background, the comparison between the KSSR and KBSR

holistically and the rational to implement the KSSR.

1.2 The introduction of the focuses involved.

There are five focuses involved in Year 4 which basically will be started in

2014. The focuses are as follows:

Listening and Speaking

Reading

Writing

Language Arts

Grammar

HOTs ( Higher Order Thinking Skills )

Evidens and description for band filling at off line software ( excell )

1.2.1 Grammar is the new focus that will be added to the document standard

next year. However, it will be taught every twice a week. It is also mustbe included in the time table.

1.3 Listening and Speaking (L &S)

The L & S focus are similar to the previous focus. It will be the first focus to be

learnt by the pupils for every topic. The focus can be carried forward to the

following day if the objectives are unachieveables.

1.3.1 Purpose of L & S

To communicate effectively. To extend childrens vocabular. To help to

sequence structure on childrens thought.

To develop childrens ability to be a good listener and to engage

purposeful dialogue.

To give all childrens the opportunity. To express themselves regardless it

ability in language.

To develop social skills . to turn taking formality of speech, conversations

of speaking and listening, talk in a range of contexts.

To develop an enjoyment of L & S

To improve on childrens self esteem of confidence.

To develop an awareness of confidence.

To develop L & S skills such as explanation, instruction characterisation,

debate recount interview part of view, factual and fiction.

To improve the standard english and articulation

DAY 2

2.1 The introduction of phonics.

The Jus introduced the phonics involved Inn KSSR Bahasa Arab year 4.

There are more diphtongs involved in the document standards.

2.2 Sound Practice

There are 44 phonemes . There are 12 vowel sounds. And there are 5 long

vowels.

2.3 Phonics

2.3.1 Word Awareness

Understand that sentence is consist of individual words. E.g mee, spoon,

plate.

2.3.2 Rhyme Awareness

2.3.3 Syllable Awareness

2.3.4 Phonemic Awareness

DAY 3

3.1 The Language Arts

It was presented by 4 of the leaders teachers in producing arts for kids.

Madam Zawahir ( SK St. Agnes), Mr Norhisyam ( SK Likas), Mr Farizan Abu

Seman ( SK Pomotodom) and Mr Zainal Abidin ( SK Mutiara ). We were

involved with many activities such presenting the art skills, mask, role play,

etc.

3.2 Fail Induk KSSR & PBS

Those are files that different. One is the master file of KSSR and another

one is for PBS. Both files must be registered under the school

administration. And the files must be accessible. Which means that the file

can be easily to access at anytime. There are at least 7 things must have

in that files.

Menggunakan sistem baru iaitu KBS ( Kurikulum Standard Sukatan )

Mengaplikasi HOTs ( Higher Order Thinking Special )

Penggunaan fail keras adalah dibolehkan tetapi persetujuan tentang

penggunaan fail tersebut perlu dimintkan didalam minit mesyuarat.

Manakala penggunaan fail putih adalah digalakkan kerana mengikut MSO2008.

3.3 Yearly Scheme of Work 2014

We were groupwith different schools. Our school was in Group 4. We have

to create the writing skills, 3.3.1 and the language arts, 4.1.1 and 4.1.2.

4.2 Daily Lesson Plan (LP)

The theme was World of Knowledge. We decided to go with the topic

Animals. The deck officer will gather all of the Lps and compile it together. Later

on they were going to distribute to the schools.

All files that have been included above are similar to the master file of PBSexcept for one which is the Fail Pencapaian and Perkembangan

Semua Murid KSSR.The coordinator must provide the document

standards of all the KSSR subjects in the respective files.
