INTRODUCTION

3D Animation is a completely synthetic, computer-generated scene. 3D Figures are created in a

computer application using polygons. In order to allow these meshes to move they are given a

digital armature. This process is called rigging. Various other techniques can be applied, such a

simulated fur or hair, effects such as fire and water and the use of motion capture to name but a

few.

The process of creating 3D computer graphics can be sequentially divided into level that is

modeling, texturing, scene setup, layout and animation, model animation, add picture of model

animation, motion paths and trajectories, add picture of graph, Lighting, Rendering, Compositing

and the last step is to add effects. 3D modeling which describes the process of forming the

shape of an object, layout and animation which describes the motion and placement of objects

within a scene, and 3D rendering which produces an image of an object.

So, with the increase of many latest technology to create and design 3D animation, we created

one company with the name ARCADIA PRO to develop our own 3D animation and hopefully will

be the most popular among the other 3D animation company such as Les’ Copaque Production

Sdn Bhd.

COMPANY BACKGROUND

Arcadia Production Sdn.Bhd was establish in December 2013 at No 88 Jalan 88/8D Presint 8

International Technology Avenue 88888 Cyberjaya Selangor Darul Ehsan to spearhead

Malaysia’s animation industry and providing opportunities for the local graduates to showcase

their talent. We are specializing in producing high quality 3D animation with local images

although we are still new in 3D animation.

Our efforts to produce film is basically to assist the government in creating interest to the

investors and people in general, towards our animation industry. Animation is a new industry

which has been identified by the Malaysian Government as the next economic growth area. It

has high potential to generate revenue for the country and create employment opportunities for

the people. It located in Shah Alam where the headquarters of all production team are placed

there.

Our mission is to be a media production company that specializes in creating our own IP

(Intellect Property) that showcases our own local talents and Malaysian culture. We also aim to

be a platform for young Malaysian talents to showcase their own limitless imagination and giving

our best in creating our own Intellectual Property (IP) with the highest quality possible. Our

service and product is producing high quality 3D animation with local images and we also

design and create new 3D animation and create a film or short stories that suitable for all

gender and age. We also train new fresh graduate student from university to create and design

3D animation such as at Les’ Copaque Production that teach ad train new worker that come

from freshly graduate student from university with the new skill and idea.

Multimedia is a combination of text, image, animation and video. Multimedia is one of the crucial

or the most importance parts to promote our product and services. So with without the

multimedia, we sure that our project cannot be done.

Firstly we made a proposal to plan our project and to introduce our company that was

new established to community and in this industry.It helps us to make a large profit based on

our work created and also being as one of 3D animation company in Malaysia that has being

certificate by other company in Malaysia and internationally and to improve and develop our

national 3D animation sector is the highest set to our main goals to achieve.

Next, is we advertise our products by designing a poster. It helps to promote our product

to community. The poster can attract people toward our product and it make them curious about

what is our company about.Therefore, we need something that more rare and extraordinary

ways to attract and appeal more people to see our product based on poster, ,advertisement and

other.

Last but not least we create a website to widen more about our product and our work.

With this, our business can go smoothly as possible and with the help of mass media and social

media such as Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and many more popular social media, our business

would be known by all types of community in Malaysia.By created an interesting website such

as the website created by Tim Burton.This mini project considered as one of the most important

steps to start our business and to get success in the future.

Literature Review

Les’ Copaque Production Sdn. Bhd. (LCP) was established in December 2005 spearhead

Malaysia’s animation industry and providing opportunities for the local graduates to showcase

their talent. We specialize in producing high-quality 3D animation with local images but have

global appeal.

When the company was first established in 2006, Managing Director Haji Burhanuddin and his

wife Hajah Ainon targeted to create a simple story that would relate to anyone no matter their

age and background. The animation department on the other hand was very eager to showcase

their technical skill. So after months of discussion they came to an agreement to produce an

adventure story with a Malaysian ‘Kampung‘ background. Thus Les Copaque’s first project

“Geng Pengembaraan Bermula” was launched in a ceremony on 11 September 2007,

together with a short animated series called “Upin & Ipin” that acted as a supporting role to the

movie.

The ideation to produce a short animated series was conceived by Haji Burhanuddin to test the

acceptance of 3D animation by Malaysian viewers before releasing “Geng Pengembaraan

Bermula”. Since the majority of Malaysians are Muslims, he came out with a plan to create a

story about fasting during the month of Ramadhan. Upin & Ipin were chosen as the main cast

because they were easy to model and animate; they had no hair (although Upin does have one

wiry strand) and possessed the same features. The content and storyline for Upin & Ipin the

series was co-written and supervised by Haji Burhanuddin and his wife Hajah Ainon.

This company made possible by the invention of 3D animation that could gives people

knowledge about the making of these 3D animation with high quality and satisfaction. 3D

animation are famous and popular at overseas and Metropolitans country but it is in process of

spreading widely to our young generation within country.

OBJECTIVE

Our objective is to create an animation that can be known by community and animation that

pass on the message that will give advantage to people and community. We also want develop

the Animation sector in Malaysia to grown faster as this sector give benefit in future.

Second, we also want to create a lot more skillful artist and people that have intellect in creating

animation as our country is still grow in this sector. Furthermore, the better and larger the sector

the more animator will be created to show their work in 3D Animation and more University will

introduce this course as their Major.

Lastly, our effort to produce the 3D animation is basically to assist the government in creating

interest to the investors and people in general, towards our animation industry. Animation is a

new industry which has been identified by the Malaysian Government as the next economic

SCOPE OF PROJECT

The scope of our project is to spread out the news about our 3D animation to the community.

With a burning passion of the employees, making 3D animation that have high quality and being

internationally and to grown the animation industry that still new in Malaysia is our motive to

achieve. The project is all about to introduce 3D animation to community. We all know that

nowadays our Malaysian animation is getting increasing day by day. With introducing our

company, we hope we can make our Malaysia to be one of the best animations Industry.

The 3D animation takes long time to prepare. From sketching to rendering, it takes a long time

to deal off with. Our company will make sure that we can make the animation with a little time

only by our hard work by our workers with passion and very hardworking one.

Furthermore, we can give better and good quality of resolution of our animation that are created.

With our talented and creative worker, we are truly sure that we can make a good animation.

Fresh graduating from university makes a fresh idea produce, it is good for our company.

Besides give them a job, we can make our country famous among the other country with these

animations. We will make a promotion to create your own 3D animation and also show how the

3D animation is made and experience yourself with our high quality 3D animation on the big

screen.

Target Audience

In this project, our main target is children that age 2-17 who is more likely to watch a simple and

cute animation yet attract their interest. By this we can promote our work and product with the

view of these target. By included an advice and good lead in the story of 3D animation, children

will follow it without notice that. It create a harmony community with good behaviors.

Furthermore, our target is also adult from age 18-40.Where our target is to develop their interest

involving in making 3D animation. Thus, when more people are demanded in 3D animation the

course of this 3D animation will be introduce more in many university. Thus, the growth of 3D

animation sector in Malaysia will occur.

CONCLUSION

Although we are still new in this 3D animation industry, we will work harder to achieve our goals

and become the 3D animation company that will brought Malaysia 3D animation industry to

world just like the Metropolitan county. With all hard works, efforts and passions to survive in

this industry, we all had made it. Variety type Animation following with the new trends and style

which keep the company up to date with the latest trend in national broadcasting television

In overall, 3D animation is not as what people think they are not valuable .With IT applications

the contribution to animation industry will become larger. Besides, by 3D animation work we

were also able to explore and have a better understanding on the business model of the first

local producer which has successfully being recognized internationally in 3D animation industry.
