to promote the Experience Malaysia Homestayby Rail tourpackages.

Featuring 42 attractive all-inclusive homestay tour packagesrom 21 homestays licensed by the Ministry o Tourism, thisbrochure is aimed at encouraging potential tourists, bothdomestic and international, to spend their holidays in thecountrys homestays. All these value or money tour packages oer interactive activities rom allthe participating homestays.

Introduced in 1995, the homestay programme is a unique and authentic Malaysian experiencethat encompasses village or kampung liestyle, culture, agriculture and cuisine. Visitors get tolive with a local amily in a village house and learn about close-knit amily relationships, enjoysumptuous home-cooked ood and discover the simple liestyle in the country. Every village hassomething unique to oer tourists. It will organise special activities or its guests such as jungletrekking, fshing, rubber tapping, ruit picking, and handicrat-making.

As rail tourism is also ast becoming a trend and attraction among travellers, we are embarkingon this innovative initiative to package homestay with authentic rail journey to give tourists an

enriching experience throughout their journey to the participating homestays.

Hence, the Experience Malaysia Homestayby Rail tour packages not only give tourists achance to experience the daily lie in a traditional village but they also include the excitingexperience o riding the train to the designated destination. Through our partnership withKeretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB), we hope to be able to promote our nations ascinatingtourism products and destinations more extensively.
