DESCRIPTIONFire resistant glass and glazing system used as a part of transparent passive fire protection system as a barrier to smoke, hot gases and flame, as well as effective insulation from the heat of a blaze. Providing robust fire protection shield and to enable safe egress from building or structure while providing greater visibility and high quality natural lighting.

Fire resistant glass must always be used as part of tested and approved glazing system. Thus to achieve full integrity , insulation and stability within/ beyond the rating period.

TERMINOLOGYIntegrity (E)The ability of a specimen of a separating element to contain a fire to specified criteria for collapse, freedom from holes, cracks and fissures and sustained flaming on the unexposed face.

Insulation (I)The ability of a specimen of a separating element to restrict the temperature rise of the unexposed face to below specified levels.

Temperature rise on the unexposed fire side shall not be more than 140oC (average value) or 180oC (maximum individual value) above ambient temperature.

Stability (S)Structure able to remain standing without collapse within specific period.

AVAILABLE RANGEPyrofire (M) Sdn. Bhd. has developed a range of fire resistant glass and glazing system, in which tested, approved and certified by local fire authority, FRDM.

The available ranges are : -

EI60 60 minutes integrity & 60 minutes insulation EI120 120 minutes integrity & 120 minutes insulation

As a certified fire resistant glass and glazing system, the system have been fully tested under BS476: Part 22: 1987 and EN1634-1:2014 and being approved and certified by fire authority, FRDM.

CERTIFICATION

WARRANTYPyrofire (M) Sdn. Bhd. warrants the glazing system will be free of manufacturing defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) yeas from the date of its original installation.

FIRE RESISTANT GLASSPilkington Pyrostop®

DESCRIPTIONIn the event of fire, Pilkington Pyrostop® provides protection against spread of fire and limitation of fire damage. Additional benefit that the opaque insulating interlayer blocks out the fire which minimises panic, and acts as a pointer and indicate the presence of fire on the other side.

Pilkington Pyrostop® fire resistant glass is formed by multi-layer intumescent laminated with Pilkington Optiwhite™ special white glass to optimize transparency. With the intemescent laminated layers, it able to resists thermal shock caused by sprinklers and hoses.

DESCRIPTIONFully insulated fire resistant glazing system constructed using hollow steel structure. In which the whole system were tested under BS 476: Part 22 : 1987 and EN1634-1:2014.

Fire resistant glass and glazing system has been certified and approved by fire authority, FRDM as “ Non-load bearing drywall glass panel partition”.

SIZE There is no limit for the size for fire resistant glass and glazing system. To ensure better stability, the maximum panel size is advised to be 1200mm x 2400mm. For size beyond, additional mullion is required.

APPLICATIONSIdeals for one (1) hour fire rating wall and applications where full fire insulation together with basic protection against flam and smoke which required by local fire authority while providing better visual experience with higher quality through vision with glass transparency. Especially for fire escapes in residential, commercial, hospitals, schools, luxury residential high rise and etc.
