    Introduction

In  March  2015,  Bhagawan  visited  Malaysia for  the  first   time.  Before

departing, He declared, “I will be back  again.” No one would have guessed

that  He would  return  just   six months  later,  on  30th  September,  2015.  In

accordance  with  His  divine  instructions,  a  two‐day  programme  was

organised at  Sai  Ananda, in Selayang, Malaysia.

To prepare for Swami’s divine visit, preparations began months in advance.Earlier, Swami had blessed the development of a three‐storey Medicare Centre

building to be built next to Sai Ananda. The Medicare Centre would provide renal

dialysis, as well as general healthcare services to those in need.

Plans are also in place to expand further to provide dental and optometry

services, besides alternative medical treatment, women and childcare services

and counselling, as well as the provision of medical aids. Hence, the majority of

work that took place prior to Swami’s visit in September was to ensure that the

Medicare Centre building was ready by the time of Swami’s arrival.

Finally, the long awaited day arrived. Malaysia and Sai Ananda was blessed by

Swami’s divine visit. All who attended the two‐day event came empty‐handed,

but left with hearts full of love, stomachs filled with sumptuous food, and hands

full with gifts from our Beloved Bhagawan.

This Booklet has been prepared as per Bhagawan’s command and includes

complete transcripts of divine discourses and excerpts from talks given by

members of Swami’s entourage, including Sri B.N. Narasimha Murthy, Sri C.Sreenivas, Mr. Isaac Tigrett, and Mr. V. Kumar.

    Evening Session at  Sai  Ananda

    Talk

    by

    Mr.

    Isaac

    Tigrett

There was a great Maharaja who lived in Swami’s

Brindavan ashram. Once, her daughter telling me the

story of how her mother and Swami were very close, and

would always argue. She was real tough, but had an

    intimate relationship with Swami.

They were arguing one day, and Swami said to her,

“Aren’t you scared of Me?" She said, “No, Swami, I’m notscared of You. But I’m scared of Your maya."

That’s what I learnt the first 17 years that Swami didn’t speak to me. He trained

me to believe His teaching, “I am the formless; you are the formless. Do not get

    attached to the body.”

Looking for Him on the outside or even trying to understand this phenomenon is

a waste of time. Finding the Indweller and understanding the formless nature of

    yourself and Divinity is important.

We don’t think that we can be Divine Beings because of all our frailties – hatred, envy, lust – and we think, “It’s impossible! How can I have all these feelings and

yet be a Divine Being?” This is the age of mistaken identity. This is the Kali Yuga,

the darkest age man has ever been in; as far away from spiritual awareness that

    he has ever been.

There is one thing that Swami has taught us that we can do to lift us out of this

mistaken identity, and that is selfless service and selfless love.

     Sri

    C.

     Sreenivas

Thirty years ago, Swami said, “What you see, is finite and

limited. What you cannot see, is infinite and unlimited.” I

always marvelled in wondering, what existed in the

    unseeable, the unknowable, the infinite.

Today, I am awestruck by what I am seeing in all of you.

More so, at how the infinite can manifest itself in the

form of devotion, love, and service – which I am seeing

here in each and every one of you.

What does devotion do? Devotion makes us take the journey which is really the

mission and the life of Swami: individual transformation. Nothing brings about

transformation more than an intense feeling of devotion.

Medical, educative, social reformative – whatever it might be, it is a manifestation

of love, which finds its root from the depths of devotion. If devotion can bringabout an individual’s transformation, your manifestation of love as service is

sowing of a seed of a societal transformation. Today if we think that we live in a

world that is automatically interconnected, then you are all sowing the seeds of a

mega human transformation. This is the moment of moments of history in your

lives, because the infinite, unlimited, unimaginable has chosen to select you

because of your devotion, your love and your deep hungering intent to manifest

    as service.

    Talk

    by

     Sri

    Narasimha

    Murthy

The only way we can know about God is from what He

talks about Himself, reveals about Himself, when He

    comes down in human form.

Whenever Avatars have revealed something about

themselves, a lot of people did not believe. Otherwise

why should Rama wage a battle to rescue His wife?

Why should Krishna spearhead the great Mahabharatawar? Why was Jesus crucified?

The reason is, when something extraordinary happens, there are extreme

reactions. When Rama came, there was a Hanuman, the embodiment of complete

faith, devotion and total surrender. However, there was also a Ravana.

Swami has revealed that Prema Sai is already born. Around 2022, when the

Sathya Sai form completes its destined term of 96 years, He is going to declare

Himself to be Prema Sai Baba.

Prema Sai is a different kind of Avatar. Recently, Swami has revealed, “I amspeaking; I am giving discourses; I am building institutions. However, Prema Sai

is going to speak in silence. If you want to understand this silence of Prema Sai,

now you have to practise what I am telling you. Become selfless. Raise yourself

above selfishness. Identify yourself with the  Atma. Then you will be able to

communicate with Prema Sai” – that is what He is saying.

We are very fortunate only if we believe what He says. Nobody can tell us what to

believe or what not to believe, except God.

    Day 1 – 30th September, 2015

    Evening Session at  Sai  Ananda

    Divine Discourse

by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba

“Leaving one’s home and family and

running away to the forest is not

sannyasa (renunciation); it’s not thyaga(sacrifice). If you give up all that which

is bad in you – that is true sacrifice. Sucha person is really a man of sacrifice, a

     yogi.” (Telugu poem)

This is the word of Sai – the word of

    truth.

In order to attain God, many people in

the world who feel that world is a burden

want to run away into a forest. If youcannot find God amidst the best of God’s

creation, that is, human beings, how will

you find God in the midst of wild

    animals in the jungle?

If a person cannot see God in his fellow

brothers and sisters, how will he find

God in the depths of the dark forest?

     Not by meditation; Not by chanting the name;

     Not by undertaking pilgrimages;

Not by any of these means;By service alone one can attain God.

By giving up that which is selfish, and

    developing selflessness, one can attain

    God.

Narasimha Murthy just now said, “If you

want Swami, pray to Him. Yearn for it,and you will definitely find Him.”

Yes, what he says is true.

Once upon a time, when Sri

    Ramakrishna Paramahamsa was

becoming known as a spiritual master,

    many Doubting Thomases would come

and ask him all kinds of questions.

“Do you see Mother?” “Does She

speak to you?” “What kind of words

does She use?” “What kind of dress does

She wear?” – and other things like that.

    He would patiently answer these

questions, because he knew they were all

idle enquiries. However, one day someone came who

was to become very close to Sri

    Ramakrishna Paramahamsa; his name

was Rakhal. He came and asked

Ramakrishna, “Swami, I have heard of

you and I have heard from the others that

you speak to Mother Goddess, that she

comes to you when you call her; that she

talks to you and she eats from yourhands. I, too, want to experience the

joy of being in communion with the

Mother; can I also have this experience?

    Can you show me God?”

    Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa was a

very practical teacher. He did not want to

waste words and said, “Come, I will

    show you God.”

    “Where is God?” Rakhal asked.

Ramakrishna said, “He is outside in the

    garden.”

He took the boy by the shoulder and told

him to look inside a well, saying, “God is

    in this well.”

The boy was surprised but, because Sri

Ramakrishna had told him, he bent down

to look at what was inside the well – and

do you know what he did? He pushed

that boy into the well! The boy started

fighting for breath and was struggling to

    save himself. Sri Ramakrishna was

    standing above, laughing.

This boy said, “You told me you would

show me God. You brought me all the

way here and threw me into this well.

    What are you doing?”

Ramakrishna replied, “The way you are

struggling for breath, the way you are

yearning to live – if you pray to see God

with the same intensity, you will

definitely be able to see God.”God is not a toy for you to play with

when you have nothing to do, praying

and playing and then going back to your

own worldly ways. It is not during the

times of your need that you should come

to God; God should become your

constant need – that is how you will get

    to see and experience God.

Devotees want shortcuts to reach God.There might be shortcuts in the world,

but there are no shortcuts in

spirituality, unless one has given up all

desires. Then, there is only one thing left

and that is to see and experience God.

There is no other way one can

    understand Him.

It is when you are capable of such

yearning, of such intensity of prayer, that

God takes upon Himself a physical form

and comes down amidst His devotees to

help them experience the reality of God,

the nature of the Divine, and make them

yearn to become like Him. The One whois infinite, the One who is formless, the

One who is invisible, takes upon

Himself, a form that one can see, hear,

touch and experience – but that is only to

give you a glimpse of what God is like.

Ultimately, He gives up the physical

body, and goes back to His pure Divine

Self. He comes to tell you, to reach Him

and see Him where he truly is – whereyou already are.

God has already done His part of the

bargain, by coming to where you are –

now it is your duty to see God where He

    truly is.

If you want to catch the Krishna who

steals butter, you have to follow the

footprints of Krishna in the butter – that

is how Mother Yashoda was able tocatch the naughty Krishna.

If you want to reach Me, you have to

follow My footprints, too. My footprints

of love and service are what you must

follow and, if you walk in My footsteps,

you will definitely reach Me.God descending to be amongst you, was

the first part of this story. Yourascending to be with God, is the second

part. With that, the circle is complete. No

matter how much you describe it, singabout it, discuss it or imagine it – unless

you have put a morsel of food in your

mouth, it is not going to satisfy your

hunger. If you are really and truly hungryfor God, only experience can satisfy you.

    Descriptions and endless talking about

God are not going to help anyone.

God has already done His part of the

duty by coming to where you are.

Now it is your duty to go and see God,

    where He is.

My devotees should yearn to be dear toMe. If you are dear to Me, you will be

near to Me. Nearness does not mean you

are dear. Many people have lived with

Me for many years and have developedhorns on their heads, thinking they are so

dear to Me. Truly speaking, I have tokeep such people close to Me so that

they don’t go and trouble others outside!

It is not always that they are so dear – itis to save My devotees outside that I

must bear the burden of keeping certain

people around Me; just like Shiva keeps

a serpent around His neck – so that itdoesn’t go and bite others!

You must remember that dearness to

God is far more important that nearness.

If you are dear to God, you need not try

to go where God is, for God will be at

your shoulder wherever you are – because God wants to be with you far

more than you want to be with God. Adevotee is not the one who says, “God

resides in my heart.” That is true, God

resides in every heart, in every atom, infact in – but a real devotee is one who

should be able to say, “I reside in God’s

heart.” Then, truly, is he a devotee.

Narada once developed tremendousconceit – he thought he was the best

devotee of the Lord and, one day, he said

to Narayana in jest, “O Narayana! Who

    is your greatest devotee?” Narayana

knew that it was just Narada’s ego which

was making him ask the question and he

was after a certificate which he could

display wherever he went in the world,

signed and certified by Lord Narayana, saying that Narada was the greatestdevotee.

There is no need for any certification.

Your conduct will be the certificate of

    devotion.

Then Lord Narayana said, “There is afarmer on Earth, and he is My dearest

and greatest devotee.” Narada was very upset. He thought, “Let

me go and find out for myself,” and went

all the way down to the Earth where this

    farmer was living.

He watched him throughout the day.

When the farmer woke up, he

    remembered Lord Narayana, continued

with his morning prayers and ablutions

and then went to his fields.

At midday, again he thought about Lord

Narayana once before taking his meals.

    Then again, before sleeping, he

    remembered Lord Narayana.

So Narada counted: one, two, three. He

thought, “It was only three times during

the day, that this farmer rememberedthe Lord, whereas I keep chanting His

name all the time. Obviously I’m the

    greater devotee!”

He went and argued with the Lord, but

Lord Narayana wanted to teach him a

lesson, He gave him a pot full of oil and

told Narada to put it on his head and go

around the world, saying, “If you don’t

drop one drop of oil, then you are

    definitely My greatest devotee.”

Narada thought it was quite simple, so he

put the pot of oil on his head, and

balancing it carefully, went around the

world. As he travelled, he was very

careful not to drop any oil, wanting to

win the prize of being known as the

greatest devotee. When he had finished his circuit and

returned, he proudly said, “Lord, I have

fulfilled what you had asked me to do. I

have not dropped even one drop of oil

    from the vessel!”

Narayana said, “That’s very good, but

tell Me, how many times did you chant

    My name during this exercise?”

Then Narada realised, that not even once,

    had he remembered Lord Narayana.

Narayana said, “You have no family, nochildren, no business to look after, no

loans to repay, nothing to do, but sitting

and chanting My name all day long.

Look at that farmer – he has to look after

his farm, his family, his children – andstill he’s able to remember Me three

times. Therefore, he is the greater

    devotee.”

Giving up everything, hiding in a forest,

and chanting My name is not going to

grant you darshan. Being in the

    community, working for the community,

doing your duties – discharging them

correctly – and being a kind person, would win you the Lord’s grace far more

    easily, wherever you are.

Do everything for the sake of Swami.

Ask yourself, “If I do this, would my

Swami be pleased? Or would He not?” If

I would be happy, do it. If your heartsays, “Swami won’t be happy,” don’t do

it. However difficult it may be, howevercomplicated it might look, if your heart

says that it will please Me, have the

courage to go and do it. If your heartsays that it would not please Me, have

great courage not to do it.

That is the only way to lead your lives.

Be here in the world and you will be ableto realise God. It is nothing very

    complicated to know and experience

God, for that is what you are; that is your

truth. It is just that it is covered by too

many layers of ‘I’ and ‘mine’. Layer by

    layer, remove everything – progress

through ‘we’ and ‘ours’, then you will

    reach ‘He’, the Divine.

One hand remembering the Lord, the

other serving the Lord, is the right way.

Where do you serve Me? At least when I

    had a body, you could come and serveMe – you were able to touch My feet;

you were able to offer Me food and look

after My personal comforts. However,Swami’s body is no longer there to be

served. However, all bodies are My bodies. I dwell in all. So, whomever youserve, you serve Me.

With that breadth of vision, you will

truly be able to love and serve Me – and

that is the way you will come to

    experience Me.

Many people have worked very hard to

develop the medical centre here. I know

the trials and tribulations each one of youhas gone through – but what seemed

impossible has happened, not just because of My grace, but through your

sincere efforts. When your effort and My

grace meet, anything is possible. Thatyou must believe.

I am ready with My hand – but your

hand has to join Mine. To clap, two

    hands are needed.

I am delighted to know that service in

this centre will start very soon. I assure

you that it will grow into a centre of

great service and spirituality. I give My

blessing to all the devotees who have

joined hands to help serve the people of

this land to which you all belong.

Mother and motherland are greater thanheaven. If you serve your mother and ifyou serve your motherland, it is

    equivalent to having experienced heaven.

The joy of service will make you forget

all short-term pleasures, like the chataka

bird that waits only for pure raindrops

and does not drink from dirty pools and

ponds. In the same way, you must only

experience the bliss of the Divine andnot spoil your taste with other lowly,

worldly pleasures. Live in a way that is

true to your nature, true to your Divinity.

If you have any questions – anything you want to clarify, you may ask now.

    Day 1 – 30th September, 2015

    Evening Session at  Sai  Ananda

    Quest ion and Answer Session

Question 1: Swami, why is there so

much confusion amongst Sai devotees in

accepting You in the subtle form? How

can this drama help in Swami’s mission?

Answer:  I was the Indweller of every

heart even before I came as Sathya Sai

Baba; I was the Indweller of every heart

whilst I lived physically as Sathya Sai

Baba; I will continue to be the Indweller

of every heart even after I cease to exist

as Sathya Sai Baba – because Sathya Sai

Baba was the manifestation of the

unmanifest. The truth is the unmanifest,

which is there at all times, in all beings.

Even when I came as Sathya Sai Baba

with a form – while I was still theIndweller of every heart – did everyone

accept Me as their Master? There werestill a great many people, worldwide,

who could not understand and accept Me

as a Divine Master. Even today, there are

people who are still not done accusing

Sai Baba of things that are not true. I tell

you, God is the Indweller of all hearts

and He prompts you from within, like agood friend – but it is only if you listen

to his advice that you can benefit. If you

listen to your mind, you cannot.

In a market full of noise, if you want totalk to your friend, you won’t be able to

hear him, because the noise around will

drown the voice of your friend and the

lack of clarity will tend to cause you to

misunderstand what is being said. If youtake him to a corner, or a quiet place and

talk to him closely, when there is no

noise, you can hear his voice clearly.

There are some people who only listen to

the mind, which makes lots of noise and

always tries to make you accept what it

says, as true. There are some who try to

listen to the heart, but the noisy mind is

still there – so they hear some things thatthe heart is saying, but don’t hear

everything, and they become confused. Then, there are others who have the

courage to shut off their mind, go to the

silent depths of their own hearts andlisten to what heart is saying, and in this

A teacher teaches all the students in a

    13

class. Do all the students get 100%

marks? The same heart speaks to

everyone; the same God speaks to

everyone within – but it depends on how

much you practise and follow what theheart says, just as it depends on how

much effort the students make in order to

    do well in their examinations.

The teacher makes no distinctions; he

teaches the same lesson to every student, but the results depend on who makes an

effort – who listens to the teacher and

    who does not.

The sun shines equally on all continents. If you close the doors and windows, who

can help you with the darkness that you

experience? Rain pours from the sky, but

if you keep your bowl upside down, how

can you collect the water? The wind is

blowing all the time, but if you choose

not to breathe and suffer as a result, who

can help you? The choice that you need

to make is between listening to Me, theIndweller, and listening to the mind, which is very treacherous. When they

make this choice and truly listen to their

heart, all confusion will disappear andcertainty will come.

A few moments ago, I said that My

being there alone is not enough – your

being there is equally important. Only

good students will benefit from thelessons taught by a good teacher,

otherwise all the words will fall on deaf

ears. Those who practise will know the

    truth. Practise listening to your heart;

    that will help.

Question 2:  In 2011, when theFukushima nuclear disaster happened in

Japan, I had the good fortune to

intuitively receive the message that, at

the time when You gave up Your

physical body, You were also taking

upon Yourself the nuclear disaster. Lateron, I found that that there was a person to

whom You appeared and informed that

You had to go in order to prevent the

    Fukushima disaster from happening. I

would just like Your comment on this.

My second question is, I’ve been brought

up as a Christian, and we have very

    strong views about homosexuality.

There’s a lot of argument and debateabout same-sex marriage. Could you

     please advise on this issue?

Answer:  There are so many disasters

and I don’t even keep a count of how

many I have taken upon Myself. It is not

my nature to remember how many I have

helped in how many ways. Love just

gives and forgives. It doesn’t keep an

account of what it does for whom. Knowfor sure that every person who has beensaved has been saved by God’s grace

alone. The times that the world would

have broken in two, for the amount ofselfish deeds people have done and the

consequences which should have borne, Ihaven’t kept count whether in Japan, or

America, or India, or Malaysia – I don’t

keep a count of these things – it is notMy nature. I only know to give.

Swami had to leave the body early

because he had to take upon himself a

many such disasters that would have,

otherwise, made the world go through

    very, very tough times.

Whatever you do, nature is the reaction,

reflection and resound of your own

    thoughts, words and deeds.

  • 8/18/2019 VIAJES DE SAI BABA POR EL MUNDO 2015 09 Malaysia English

    14/40

    14

Therefore, nature would definitely havereacted to what you did. Karma  is the

law of this universe; every action must

have a reaction – and somebody has to

     bear the reaction.

If somebody has not paid for food, it

means somebody else must have paid –nobody gets free food.

The results of all your karmas has to be

    experienced. The only karmas  from

which you don’t have to experience the

results, are those which are selfless,

because there are no consequences for

    selfless actions; the only consequences

    are bliss and love.

Every selfish action has a detrimentalreaction. Yes, if it makes you happy toknow that I have taken these disasters

upon Myself, so be it – but the truth is, it

should shake up the conscience ofmankind to see how many times you

pass on the consequences of your deeds

to someone else to suffer. When are you

going to be selfless – and see to it that all

can live in peace and harmony?

How many Avatars will have to come to

bear the consequences of your actions?

You only remember Swami when you

are in difficult times – but if you

remember God at every moment, then

you will never get into any difficulty.

You would never have to suffer any

    negative consequences, because you

would never do any negative action.

    Everything would be positive and

     blissful.

The human body is given only for the purpose of attaining God. It is a boat, in

which you can travel across the ocean.

But if the body it is only considered as a

bundle of senses and the body’s onlyneeds are to fulfil one’s own physical

pleasures then this is not the right use. A

knife can be used to save a patient by

operating upon him or can be used to

harm somebody when it is in the hands

of a robber. The body itself is not at

fault; it is the mind which drives the

     body.

Everything that has been given to man, isfor a particular purpose – the mouth has

  • 8/18/2019 VIAJES DE SAI BABA POR EL MUNDO 2015 09 Malaysia English

    15/40

    15

been given to speak, the ears have been

given to listen, the eyes have been given

to see. Similarly, every sense is there for

a purpose and, as long as it is used for

that purpose, it is the correct use. If it isonly for the sake of deriving pleasures

then it is the wrong use. The tongue can

taste the sweet  payasam. It can also eat

flesh and enjoy it – but the tongue is not

meant for the purpose of killing

something, eating its flesh and enjoying

    it.

Ears are given to listen to the name of

God. They can also listen to all kinds ofthings which are not so good – but the

correct use of ears is to listen to good

    things.

Eyes are given to see the beauty of

nature – to understand how God

manifests within nature and to enjoy the

bliss. However, the same eyes can see

and enjoy things that are not divine – but

that is not the right use for the eyes.

In the same way, every sense has a

particular use, a particular role to

perform. As long as it is performing the

role that it is intended for, there is

nothing wrong, but when you only use

them merely for pleasure, it is wrong. So

one must understand the very purpose of

why one is born. If you know your

purpose is to realise your divine nature, all other questions will be answered of

their own accord. If you think your

purpose is only to lead a life of temporal

pleasures, then there will be endless

    confusion.

These senses are like fire – the more

wood you put on it, the more it will ask

for. The only solution is to not put any

wood onto it, so that it dies on its own.

Man minus desires equals God so, if you

know the right use of your body, which

is to engage itself in dharma  – dharma

sadhana  – that is to engage in good,

righteous conduct and thereby attainGod, then there is no way you can

deviate. All our answers lie in only one

thing – what is the purpose of life?

Is it to live like animals? Or is it to live

like the divine? If you stoop to becomingan animal, then your destiny will be

animal. If you can rise up to become

divine, then your destiny will be divine.

Man is a combination of animal andman. So when you say “I’m a man”, it is

    a half-truth. “I am a man, and not an

animal,” is the complete truth. Think like

this and you will know all the answers to

all your questions in your daily lives.

Question: Bhagawan, many families areexperiencing conflicts as a result of Your

now being the Subtle Form. Sometimes,

it is very sad for us to hear these things.

How long will these leelas continue?

    Answer:  Families will experience

conflict about whether they believe in

My Subtle Form or not, as long as they

have egos. If they think that, what they

alone say is right, what they alone knowis truth, what they alone hear is correct,

then nobody can help. Many times, there

are conflicts between husband and wife.

If both of them are speaking the truth,

where is the question of conflict? It is

only if one person is not correct can there

be conflict. If you are really listening to

your hearts, there will be no conflict. If

some of you listen to your minds, obviously there will be conflict.

  • 8/18/2019 VIAJES DE SAI BABA POR EL MUNDO 2015 09 Malaysia English

    16

If all the members of the family are truly

listening to their hearts, not only in this

matter, but in every matter that relates to

their family, then there will never be any

conflict – because they will all have thesame answer to the same question. So, it

is not I who create conflict – it is you

who create the conflict; I have always

     been there to bring peace.

However, if there is a person who issincerely finding it difficult, and

suffering as a result, how do you help

    them?

When you feel that I am around you, when you feel it is Me telling you how to

live your life and progress, by changing

your attitude, by changing your acts,

thoughts and words – that is what you

    can impress upon them.

When you return home from this satsang

and your husband sees you and asks

what happened – and sees the love, the

peace, the kindness with which you

answer the question – from that moment

onwards, the love, the kindness with

which you lead your lives, both within

family and without, will be the proof of

    Swami’s presence.

It is said that if something has touchedthe Philosopher’s Stone, it will change

into gold. If you have truly experiencedMe, you will change and that change will

be the proof of My existence. There is no

point in fighting a verbal battle at home.Instead, start changing yourself and truly

start living, from this moment onwards,

the way I expect you to.

Looking at the transformation that hasoccurred in you, others will change. A

fire cannot be doused by adding more oil

     – you have to quench it with water.

Arguments will not dissolve any conflict.

It is only when you listen to your heart

and behave in a kind way will you be

able to resolve any conflict, whatever it

    may be.

Question:  Swami has said that nature,

time and karma are under the control of

God. Yet, humans have limited free will

and God is the dispenser of truth and

action. In this aspect, man is differentfrom God. It is not always true that the

individual and the Universal are one and

the same. In one sense, they are different

and in another, they are inseparable.

This relationship of distinction andoneness is beyond the capacity of the

intellect to grasp. It can be understood

only through the Vedas and their

message. Swami, can You help us tounderstand?

Answer:  Water descends as rain. Rain

becomes a river. Someone fills a pot with

water from the river. Now you refer to it

as ‘pot water’ but, earlier, it was referred

to as ‘river water’. Next, someone else

takes a cup of water from the pot. Now it

is called ‘a cup of water’. The water in

the river is the same as both the water inthe pot and the water in the cup. There isno difference – the nature of the water is

just the same, even if the quantity, or the

shape, or size of the vessel that carries itmay be different.

Similarly, with the deha-bhava, that is,

when you are still not able to overcome

attachment to this body, it is like water in

a cup and defining it as ‘drinking water’.You refer to your body as ‘myself’ – but

the body is also Divine. When your

spiritual growth develops a little further,

you will feel that you are nothing but a

part of the one Divine Self; a crystal of

sugar within the huge mountain of sugar

    that is God.

When you feel that oneness within, you

    have developed  jeeva-atma-bhava – this

is like ‘pot water’. Finally, when all the

cups and pots are broken, the water

merges back into the river – that it is like

atma-bhava – and you feel that you and

that river are one.At first, Jesus said, “I am messenger of

God,” then later on he said, “I am the sonof God.” Finally, he said, “I am God. My

    Father and I are one.”

It depends on your stage of spiritual

evolution. For a primary school child, the

sun rises in the east and sets in the west.

That is the truth, because that is all he

can understand. For a high school child, the sun neither rises nor sets – that is the

truth as he understands it. For a scientist,

the sun is the action and reaction of gases

     – hydrogen and helium. That is the way

in which he understands the sun.

    Your understanding will vary, depending

upon how much you have grown

spiritually, but truth does not vary. It

depends on how much you have evolved

     – and, only by experiencing the truth will

    you know the real truth.

Brahmavid brahmaiva bhavati  – the one

    who knows Brahman becomes Brahman.

    Therefore, if you perceive external

differences, it is not because there are,

truly, any differences – it is because you

have not yet evolved sufficiently to

    understand the oneness of all.

    When you give up deha-atma-bhavam,

when you give up  jiva-atma-bhavam, as

you progress, you arrive at paramaatma-

bhavam – and  that is when you realise

    the Divine.

It is like this building – there is a ground

floor, a first floor and a second floor.

From the ground floor, you ascend to thefirst, and from the first, you go up to the

  • 8/18/2019 VIAJES DE SAI BABA POR EL MUNDO 2015 09 Malaysia English

    18/40

    18

second. All are part of the same building.

The difference is only because you are

on the ground floor and, right now, you

can only see the ground floor.

As you ascend, you can see the first and,as you ascend further still, you can see

the top. When you arrive at the top, yourealise that all the floors are part of the

    same building.

It is because there are floors that there

are three levels. If you remove all thewalls and slabs, it is the same space that

exists at the ground, the first and the

second levels – it all depends on yourstate of spiritual evolution.

To help you understand this concept

     better, I have said, “Give up the body;

the body is a bubble on the water – do

not follow the body. The mind is a mad

monkey – do not follow the mind.Follow the heart.” If you keep following

the heart, you will ascend. Your

understanding will improve and then you

will see everything as one. You will not

see the walls and pillars which

distinguish this area – you will see thewhole space as one.

The easiest path is ‘Not me, not me’.

If you render service, your ego will

deflate, attachment to your body will

decrease, attachment to your mind will

diminish – and then you can understand

    the truth better.

Question:  For a busy person, when it

comes to selfless service and all that, would serving the parents and immediate

    family members alone be sufficient,

without any engagement with society inrelation to selfless service?

The second question is that You havementioned at some point that You are

ushering in the Golden Age now and that

it will last for so many years. What

happens to the world after the Golden

    Age?

Answer: Service can be given to anyone.

Even speaking kindly to your elders is

service. If you listen patiently to others,

even that is service. There is no end toone’s busy schedule in this world. One is

    constantly getting busier and busier.

Look at your own life – when you were a

child, you were less busy; when you

went to college, you became busier; as

you matured and became a householder,

you became still busier. This will keep

    on happening.

However, if you can serve your parents,it is, after all, only duty with love. It is

  • 8/18/2019 VIAJES DE SAI BABA POR EL MUNDO 2015 09 Malaysia English

    19/40

    19

your duty to serve your parents. Duty

without love is deplorable. Duty with

love, is desirable – but love, without a

feeling of duty, is Divine. True service is

when there is no sense of duty in it;wanting to love, wanting to serve

because you feel all are yours.

Serving your parents is service, but of a

lesser kind. The highest service is when

there is no sense of duty involved. If youdon’t serve your parents, you are not

being a son – you are not doing your

duty and that is a sin. Serving your

parents does not mean that you are trulyserving – you are doing it as a part of

your duty. Though you are doing your

duty with love, which is desirable, the

highest of all is love without any sense of

    duty.

    Loving anyone, serving anyone, without

any expectations and where there is no

relationship, is the highest kind of

service – and that service alone canliberate you. Therefore, you must findtime to give the kind of service which is

not bound by any sense of duty. That

    will help you, truly.

Where there is a will, there is a way. If

you work a little less, you will earn a

little less – that’s all. However, you can

render service in the extra time that you

    will have to spare.

Why are you born? The purpose of birth

is not to accumulate things; it is not just

to have a big family; it is not to gainfame or popularity – all these will

disappear in a moment. Don’t be proud

of your youth, your money, or your

people. All these are temporary – in just

one moment, it can all disappear. If you

know the purpose of life, you will know

how to divide your time correctly and

     progress accordingly.

That is the way you should think when it

comes to service, because your busy

schedule is no excuse. However busyyou are, you still have to breathe, don’t

you? However busy you are, you stillhave to eat. Service should become like

your breath – it should be automatic. It

should be happening all the time – in theoffice, or not; whilst you are at home and

while you are out and about.

Every one of your actions should be a

service without any expectation, then itwill become Divine. When you start

living your life like this – when all start

living lives like this – then the Golden

    Age will dawn.

The Golden Age is not a particular time

or a particular place. As we are travelling

around these countries, in Australia, the

sun rises first; in Singapore it rises a little

later; in India, later still. Long after, it

    comes to London.

It is the same sun; it just depends upon

where you are – sunrise is defined bythat alone. The Golden Age is happening

    every moment, depending upon your

spiritual evolution. For a person who hasrealised his divine nature, the Golden

Age is here and now. For the person whohas yet to attain that, it has yet to happen.

When most of the people in the world

lead a life of purity, of divine realisation,

then you will see all around you, people

who can feel the Golden Age – because

    they have golden hearts.

Such an age will last forever, for those

who can live forever in that way.

There is no point in worrying how long,

  • 8/18/2019 VIAJES DE SAI BABA POR EL MUNDO 2015 09 Malaysia English

    20/40

    20

how far – all these are immaterial.

More importantly, in this Golden Age of

Sathya  Yuga, how can it be of

consequence to you if it does not help

you? What are you doing about it?

In the Kali  Yuga,  you can realise the

Golden Age – but the Golden Age can

also be turned into a Kali Yuga. It all

depends on you and your deeds. For the

one who closes his eyes and sleeps

through the day, day is night. For the one

who works hard and achieves something,

night becomes day. It all depends on

what you are – the Golden age dependson just that.

    Question: How to differentiate between

myself – the ego – and the Atma?

Answer: When there is a sense of ‘I’ in

it – ‘I’ and ‘mine’ – then it is only yourego, your sense of separate self. When

you feel everything is ‘we’ and ‘ours’,

then you are identifying yourself with the

Divine or  Atma. That is the only

    difference.

When you feel selfish – ‘I and mine’ –

you are identifying yourself only with

    your body and mind.

When you think it is for ‘us’, it is ‘ours’,you are identifying yourself with the

    Divine Atma.

Whatever you think, say or do, if you do

it only out of selfishness, you are

identifying with body and mind. If you

do it selflessly, you are identifying

yourself with  Atma. That is the only

    difference.

How many of you are confident that,

after listening to all this, you will go and

actually put it all into practice? That is

     My question.

Everybody should say “Yes, we are!”

The way you think, is how you will

     become. Sow a thought, reap an action;

sow an action, reap a habit; sow a habit,

    reap a tendency; tendency shapes

    character, which shapes destiny.

So, it starts from the very first thought –

and ends in your destiny. If you thinknow, that, yes, Swami has taken so much

trouble, out of love alone, to come all the

way here – to bring all these very busy

people from India just to talk to you and

tell you how to live your lives, should

you not make the effort to transform

yourselves, from this very moment on?

Should you not, tomorrow, look different

to your own people? More kind, more

    compassionate? More selfless?

Think in this way – decide and do. Don’t

postpone it for another day – the best day

is today. The best moment to do it isnow.

The bhajan ‘Hari Bhajana Bina’ was

    sung after Bhagawan’s divine discourse.

    Then,

    the

     youth

    Day 2 – 1st  October, 2015

    Morning Session at   Ayavoo Residence

    Excerpts

    from

    talk

    by

    Sri

    V.

    Kumar

Once while studying in Parthi, an elderly gentleman gave a

lecture on a deep spiritual topic. Within ten minutes,

everyone was asleep! As a student, I could not digest it at

all. That evening, Swami came and explained the entire

teaching in a few short sentences. He said, “Just love Me.

Just think of Me. That is enough."

Every day, we go through many different experiences –friends tell us many things; we get upset; we meet our

lecturers or bosses. Many times we feel these people were

born just to make our lives more painful!

We must then ask ourselves: have I thought enough of Swami? He is the panacea

for all the ills. He is the beginning and the end. He is also the journey. So that is

what we really need to do – think of Bhagawan right from morning till evening.

Then, as we keep doing what we want to do, God will make sure we are on the

right track. He will make sure everything is converted into a divine offering. This

is practical spirituality – just thinking of Him incessantly, building up theintensity, and living with Him every moment. That will make us dear to Him.

Excerpts from talk  by Sri B. N. Narasimha Murthy

These days, Swami makes a very powerful statement, “When

I was in the physical body, you were known because of Me.

People recognised you because people saw Sathya Sai Baba.

‘Oh, He’s such a great Divine Master and these people are his

devotees.’” Therefore, society recognised you as devotees of

Sathya Sai Baba. Then Swami says, “Today, I should be

    known because of you.”

Today, I can assure you that whoever comes and sees what is happening here in

Sai Ananda, Malaysia will know that your Master is very great. If these people can

have so much dedication and do so much, how great should their Master be?

Krishna said, and Baba also says, “Whoever practices My teaching – selfless love

and selfless service – whoever has offered their mind to Me, to them I shall grant

glory in both material life and spiritual life.” Swami is saying He will give us both.

    Day 2 – 1st  October, 2015

    Morning Session at   Ayavoo Residence

    Divine Discourse

by B hagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba

When a child is born, he thinks that it is

right to ask his father for things that he

likes. That is true; it is the father’s

responsibility to provide what the child

needs. However, when the same childgrows up and the father grows old, it is

then the father’s right to ask his child for

whatever he needs or requires, and it is

child’s responsibility to provide for his

    ageing father.

If the father discharges his duties and

responsibilities to a young child, he willdefinitely be assured of his needs when

he grows old. If parents take care of theirchildren in the right way, the children

will definitely take care of their parents

when they grow old. As you give, so youreceive. In fact, when you give, be

assured that you will receive much more

     – for in giving, is the secret of receiving.

Parents have a great responsibility, not

only towards their children, but also

towards society and the nation. Whenthey bring a child into this world, they

are also bringing a citizen of that nation

and another human being into the world.

Therefore, it is crucially important not

just to give birth to the child, but to bringhim or her up in the right way, so that he

or she becomes a good, responsible

citizen of the nation, as well.

Narasimha Murthy asked, “What makesthese people in Malaysia do so much for

Swami now?” It is because, when they

needed Me, I did all that was needed for

them; because of My love, which I gave

to them in their times of need and

‘brought them up well’ like a divine parent. Now, as they have grown up,

they have come to understand their

    responsibilities and are discharging their

duties towards Me – towards society.

Nowadays, parents are very busy. The

father is busy, the mother is busy;everybody is so busy that mothers, in

order to help the family earn a few more

rupees, take up very difficult jobs – andthen they put their children into nursery

schools where the children are looked

    after by other women.

There is only one purpose for which

you are born – to realise your Divinity.

If you place your children in such

schools and do not look after them

directly, when they grow up, they will

also put you into old people’s homes and

you, too, will be looked after by o. All

they will do is send money to the place

    for your maintenance and expenses.

    Unless you develop this heart-to-heart

    23

bond with your children, you will not

receive the same love when you grow

old. Gratitude will only develop within

them if you have looked after them

selflessly and brought them up well.I see here generations of devotees, there

are grandfathers, fathers, and evengrandsons. The manner in which the

grandfather lives his life and brings up

his son, so will the son walk in thefootsteps of his father.

Likewise, it is not difficult if you become

dear to God, if you follow in the

footsteps of God. You have to see thatyour children also learn this from you

and then they, too, will follow in your

    footsteps. Whatever parents do, the

children will see and learn; what you say

is not enough – but what you do, your

children will see and learn – and they

will follow in your footsteps. It is very

important for parents to lead exemplary

lives; lives full of love and service. Onlythen will the children learn and follow intheir footsteps.

Einstein was a great scientist. He was

    very intelligent but lacked common

    sense. Most highly-educated people are

like that. They have a lot of knowledge,

but very little practical or common sense.

He had a pet cat that was very dear to

him. He was so fond of the cat that, wherever he was, he allowed the cat to

stay with him; even when he was doing

his experiments, the cat would be sitting

by his side. The cat became a mother and

gave birth to a few kittens. Because the

cat used to disturb Einstein, every time it

wanted to enter his laboratory, Einstein

made a small hole in the door for the cat

to come in and go out, so that it did notdisturb him whilst he was working.

After that the cat had borne kittens,

Einstein thought, “Now I need to make

more holes in the door for the kittens to

come and go, too.” So he started making

holes in the door – smaller holes. His wife came by and asked what he was

doing. He replied, “The cat now haskittens and they, too, need to enter and

leave. I don’t want to be disturbed,

opening and closing the doors, so I am

    making more holes.”

His wife said, “You are a great scientist,

but you don’t have an iota of common

sense. Don’t you see? If the cat can comethrough that hole, the kittens will follow

the mother and enter and leave through

the same hole. You don’t need to make

    more holes.”

The meaning of this story is that,

wherever parents go, the children will

follow. If parents lead the children

towards God, the children will also go

towards God. If parents lead the children

towards the world, the children will also

    go towards the world.

If, tomorrow, children do not lead a lifeof service and sacrifice, verily, the fault

would lie with the parents for not

showing them the right way. Parentswant the children to do well – attain

good degrees, take up a good job, earnwell and have everything in plenty.

These desires are not wrong in

    themselves. As parents, their

responsibility is to see to that their

children are independent and can take

care of themselves; that they have

    education, knowledge and meaningful

work to do in the world – but, above all

these responsibilities, the highest is that

    they should go towards God.

    24

Different people will give you different

    opinions based on their own

understanding of things. Let Me ask you

a question – how many of them really

lead a life of joy? Do you think that

    accumulating material objects will give

them more happiness? From a smaller

car to a bigger car to a much bigger car?

From a smaller house to a bigger houseand, then, a much bigger house? From a

small family to more and more?

This is never-ending. The more you try

to do, the more you become dissatisfied

and spend your entire life trying to make

yourself happy, you cannot be happy.

You can only be happy if you make

others happy. If you make God happy,

everyone around you will be happy, andyou will be happy within yourself.

Happiness is union with God. It is only

when you lead your life in unison with

God that you attain permanent or truehappiness. Until then, it will be like

chasing shadows – for a moment it may

seem you have grasped it, but the next

moment it will slip through your fingers

and you will be miserable again, chasing

    a few more shadows.

There will be no end to this. How can

that which is unreal, that which does not

exist, give you real or permanent joy? If

you want to have vegetarian food in a

restaurant, you need to go to a vegetarian

restaurant. You need to look at the board

outside the place to see what it says. If it

says it is a vegetarian restaurant, then

you can go and eat there.

If you go to a non-vegetarian restaurant

and ask for vegetarian dishes like idli,

dosai  or sambar , who is going to serveyou? For sure, someone is going to ask

you, “Did not you see the board outside

     before coming in?”

There’s a big board on the world saying,‘Temporary, ephemeral, transient –

nothing permanent can be obtained here.’

Having entered this temporal world, if

you demand permanent things, you are

obviously not going to get them. Know

that all that you see in this world, is just

temporary. It will only last as long asyour body However, you live on in the

memory of the people who rememberyou for the good that you have done to

    them.

Even today, people still love, worship,

and adore Sai Baba. It is not because Sai

Baba is still physically present as He was

then, but because He is present in thehearts of the men and women whom He

had served selflessly, whom He hadloved selflessly. By the principle of

reflection, reaction and resound, all the

love and selflessness comes back to Him.

God has no particular form, name, shape,

size or other attributes – He will be

whatever you envisage. If you feel that

God is love, you will feel nothing butlove. If you feel God is not love, then

you will not feel love. Whatever your

perception is, so will He attain that form.

In the time of Krishna, a great artist once

came who was very proud of his

knowledge and skills in painting. He

issued a challenge that nobody could

paint better than him. Krishna gave him a

small task, in order to deflate his ego. He

    said, “Can you paint Me?”

The artist said, “Of course I can paint a

     portrait of you.”

Krishna said to him, “Come tomorrow.”

The artist came with all his canvases,

paints and brushes and started sketchingKrishna. Once he had done the basic

work, he said, “Let me go home, finish itand bring it tomorrow.” Krishna agreed.

He went back home, finished the

painting, and came back the next day,

but when he looked, they were totally

different – the painting looked different

    from Krishna’s appearance that day.

So he tried again the next day. Again,

when he finished, he saw that the

painting did not match Krishna’s looks.

He tried a third time, and failed again!

Then he understood. He thought he could

understand the Lord. He had such ego,

that he thought he knew what the Lord

looked like and that he could paint him – but the truth was, he knew nothing.

The next day, he came and said, “Lord, I

am very confident that today it will not

mismatch. It will truly be like You,” –

and he revealed what he had brought.

There was no canvas, there was no

painting – it was simply a mirror – and

when Krishna smiled, the reflection also

smiled; when Krishna laughed, thereflection also laughed. It was truly

Krishna that he could express on that

    mirror.

Our hearts are like mirrors. If they are

pure and clean, we can definitely reflect

God in our hearts. Any other way of

understanding God is simply a waste of

time. Singing His glory, describing Him,

talking about Him – you will never be

able to completely capture the essence of

God. You can see only when you have a

pure and clean heart; that’s when He will

reflect within your heart – and that is

how you will understand Him and know

    Him.

Everything selfish is impurity. It is like

the dust that settles on a mirror; it prevents you from seeing your reflection. If you remove all the dust of selfish

impurities, the mirror will become clean.

Wipe it clean with acts of selflessness

and all the impurities – the dust of

selfishness – and the mirror will become

bright and clean for God to reflect in –

and your life will fully become a

    reflection of His life.

There is only one purpose for which you

are born - to realise your Divinity.

Everything else that you do, should

surely help you to attain that rather than

lead you away from the path. If you want

to come to Malaysia from India, youhave to buy a ticket which takes you to

    Malaysia.

If you buy another ticket, you can go to

other places, but not to Malaysia. If you

want to reach God, the only ticket yourequire is selfless service and selfless

love. Only through that can you reach

Me. With other tickets, you may reach

other destinations, but you will not reachMe.

All these young people must continue to

    serve with humility, love and

     brotherliness. Nobody should become

conceited, thinking that he is the leader

and the others are followers. Do not

    create such divisions.

You may feel that all are different, but

are all one. There may be five fingers on

a hand and one may be smaller than the

others, but when all the fingers function

together, the hand can do a lot of work.

When they work separately, they cannot

do anything. One finger alone cannot

even lift a tumbler. You need all five to

    work together. Although they are

different sizes and shapes, when they all

work together, they can do any amountof work.

Some here are older, some are young,

some are ageing. Some are lawyers, others are architects, engineers,

    administrators – they resemble the

different fingers of the hand. The hand is

Me. When all five fingers act together,

you will be able to do My work.

    There is only one purpose

for which you are bornis to realise Your Divinity.

Do not create unnecessary differences –

that is the mistake that everybody made

earlier, as a result of which, so much ofMy work is suffering now. Do not repeat

those mistakes. If you do it unknowingly,it is a mistake – if you do it knowingly, it

is a crime. Desist from committing

mistakes that you know you should not

be making – treat and respect everyone

    as Swami Himself.

All of you are nothing but Myself. Thinkfrom My point of view, not from your

personal point of view. Think what I

would expect you to do, what I wouldexpect you to say – and do not think

from your individual point of view.

When you listen to your mind, it will

give different answers based on your

own ideas. When you refer questions to

your heart, it will always give you the

same answer, because the heart is the

same in everyone – it is the same  Atma

which resides in all beings. Take noticeof your heart in every decision, not your

    mind.

A rich man had cattle that were taken

into the jungle to graze. Along with his

own cattle were those of a poor man, the

herdsman in charge of all the cattle.

On one occasion, the bull that belongedto the poor herdsman and the bull that

belonged to the rich man, fought with

    27

each other. Their long horns did much

harm to each other and, in the end, the

rich man’s bull died. The poor man was

very afraid. He thought that if he

reported it to the rich man, he woulddefinitely be punished.

Gathering some courage, he came back, and said to the rich man, “Master, I have

    something to tell you.”

The landowner said, “Yes, go ahead, tell

    me.”

The poor man said, “Master, today there

was a fight between your bull and my bull.”

The rich man said, “So, what is unique

about that? Even people fight all the

time. What about bulls? That’s quite

    natural.”

The poor old man was a bit relieved.

Then, he nervously reported, “Your bull

    killed my bull.”

The rich man said, “So what? Everybody

who is born, has to die some day. It doesnot matter.”

Then the poor man realised – oh, he had

made a mistake. Now, he said, “I’m

sorry, I reported it the wrong way out of

nervousness. Actually, it was my bull

    which killed your bull.”

The landowner said, “How dare your bull kill my bull?” He called the servants

and punished the poor old man.

Therefore, depending on your ideas and

attitudes, you will get different answers.

When it was the bull of the poor man, the

rich man said, “Death is natural. What’s

so different about it?” When he said it

was the rich man’s bull that died, he wasimmediately angry and he punished the

     poor old man.

If you listen to your mind, which is full

of selfishness, it will give you different

answers based on your likes and dislikes.

If you only listen to God within you,God will tell you the right thing to do.

He will tell you the same thing, whenever you encounter a difficult

situation. If you have different opinions

in your head, find a silent corner and pray to Me deeply, “Swami, we all think

differently on this particular issue; I want

Your point of view. I want You to tell

me what You want us all to do.” TakeMy word – if you pray sincerely, all of

you will get the same answer. It cannot

     be different.

If you go to a Shiva temple where a

lingam  is installed, everyone who goes

will only see the lingam there. Nobody is

going to see an idol of Narayana or

Lakshmi or Durga. What is there is what

    will be seen.

In the same way, if you truly refer every

question that you have to Me in your

heart, you will get the same, single

answer. There will always be unity –

unity of thought, word and deed.

Remember, when you work, anythingthat is negative is not Me. Any trace of

anger, jealousy, or ego – all that isnegative is not Me. Immediately askyourself, “Why am I undergoing these

    negative emotions? Why am I

    experiencing these negative feelings?”

Then you must remind yourself, “It is

because the negativity lies within me, notoutside. I get angry because anger lies

within me. I become egotistical because

ego lies within me. Likewise, I feelloving because love lies within me.”

What is there inside you, is what you

    will reflect outside.

It is a great opportunity to expand My

mission in Malaysia and you should all

consider yourselves as the fingers of My

hand. When all of you work together, Iwill be able to do My work.

Never allow any negative feeling to

creep in. The negative can be solved only

with the positive – you have to think

     positively.

Pray to Me, seek My guidance. Unless

your heart is convinced of the

correctness of any action, don’tundertake it. Let there be delay, that is

okay, but do not do things in a hurry justto please your mind.

Always ask Swami what the right thing

to do is, and I will guide you; I am

waiting to guide you. I am waiting all the

time for you to come back to Me and ask

    Me what to do.

Since a medical centre will be

established here and there are some

    difficulties in acquiring the machines,

immediately after I return to India, I will

send five machines to start off the

    dialysis centre. The rest will also come;

within a month everything will beequipped.

A train needs an engine to pull it.

(Referring to the Ayavoo family)  This

family has been like an engine which haswhich sacrificed everything for the sake

of pulling the train of seva  – and I am

    very pleased.

Who can tell who is close to Me or who

is far away? You may live for forty years

without becoming close to Me – yet you

may live far away, and without even

meeting Me once, you may be close to

    Me.

Krishna left the gopikas  in Brindavan

long ago, and lived far away. He had

several wives  – yet people don’t talk

    about Krishna’s wives now. Even today,it is Radha-krishna that people think of;

  • 8/18/2019 VIAJES DE SAI BABA POR EL MUNDO 2015 09 Malaysia English

    29/40

    29

it is the one consort, Radha who stands

next to Krishna, not Sathyabhama or

    Rukmini.

That closeness is rare. It is not physical

closeness to the Lord which matters, it isonly the closeness of the heart that will

ultimately make you immortal. When thechapters of My mission are written by

people in the future, all the names, all

these stories, all the work that has beendone – that you have all been doing, and

will do – will become a part of My glory.

    Like the  Ramayana  and  Bhagavatham,

when My stories are read by people inthe future, they will all be in tears to

know that such devotees existed – who

did so much without any sense of

expectation, just doing it selflessly to

please Me. I am proud that I have such

devotees, and I am very happy to know

that you all are working together.

May this be just the first of many places

where this work is begun and developed.

Many more such places will come.

    However, you must always remember

that it is the same mother who has given

birth to all the different children; one

might have been born early, one might

have been born later, but the mother has

equal love for all of her children. They

all belong to her. There may be many

     places, many people, many seva

activities – but there is only one Sai.Keep doing such things like this –

satsangs are very important to keep youcharged, energised, and focused. Every

month, people should meet in different

places, in order to give an opportunity toeveryone.

Begin the work slowly. I bless this whole

team with tremendous success. As long

as you all remain selfless, nothing canstop My work. No force on Earth can

stop My work – only selfishness can stop

this work, nothing else. So be selfless; do

    everything without any expectations.

Every time you get any negative feeling

or emotion, immediately be on guard.

Remind yourself of your true nature –

which is love, and discard that which is

    not you.

Work together in unity, be kind and

    compassionate to everyone and truly

reflect Me in the pure mirror of your

heart. That is what will be seen by the

    world tomorrow.

    Day 2 – 1st  October, 2015

    Evening Session at  Sai  Ananda

    Talk

    by

    Mr.

    Isaac

    Tigrett

It’s an extraordinary time we live in – the maya  is so

intense! This is the Kali Yuga – the darkest age before the

dawn. It’s so intense that no one can take their path. We’re

so self‐involved, we can’t even concentrate. The five

senses are overstimulated, wherever we go.

This is a beautiful time to be incarnated, because one

person can change many. The positive energy, the selflessenergy of one person can change many. Swami has given

us the example of a candle – when brought into a dark

room, the entire room is illuminated.

All of us gathered today – either want to believe, don’t

believe, can’t believe or do believe. Only He knows. Soon,

we will disperse. What will you take with you? To your

family, to your lives, to your neighbours, to your business?

    Excerpts

     from

     Sri

    C.

     Sreenivas

It does not matter what you know, it does not matter what

you say, it does not even matter what you believe. What

matters is what you can do at a given point in time.

There is nothing else in life. You may have a PhD or a number

of PhDs and forms of study or research or knowing of

comprehension of understanding. Nothing matters if you

cannot translate your tonne of knowledge, faith, and belief

into one ounce of impacting, touching action.

This morning, for example, Swami said, “I saw your hall,

Ayavoo.” Ayavoo told Him that he wished to install dialysis

machines, and Swami said, “One small act of My service is, I

will set up the dialysis centre to provide free of cost care to

    every patient in Malaysia."

Swami was not one given to platform articulation, but for genuine, meaningful

action – because He is in the suffering of the sufferer; He undergoes the pain of

the person undergoing the pain. He is one with them.

Even after shedding the physical body, was there anyone

who continued to shower His love and compassion oneveryone? An X‐Ray, CT scanner, ultrasound, or any other

machine may show what is broken or intact in our body,

but it is the love and compassion of Swami which sees the

    broken heart.

In modern times, when the maximum number of human

beings are inhabiting this planet, there are maximum

number of broken hearts. Broken hearts of the poor, aswell as the rich. It is the power of Swami’s love and

    compassion that repairs them.

Whether He had a physical body earlier, and now He does not have one, it does

not matter for Him ‐ and it should not matter for us as devotees. Because we

worship Him as God. We need not worship Him as a human body. It should not

make a difference because it does not make any difference for Him.

Whether it is His poor children in Malaysia who need dialysis, poor boys or girlswho need education in India or elsewhere, or His children in Nigeria who are in

dire need of healthcare for their hearts, Swami responds because He is our divine

father, He is our divine mother.

    Day 2 – 1st  October, 2015

    Evening Session at  Sai  Ananda

    Divine Discourse

by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba

“I reside neither in Vaikuntha, nor in the

hearts of  yogis. Wherever My devotees

sing My glory or chant My name, Iinstall Myself there.” (Sanskrit Poem)

    Embodiments of Divine Love!

Once, Lord Narayana asked the great

Sage Narada, “Having travelled all over

the three worlds, what is the greatest

thing that you have ever seen?”

Sage Narada replied, “Earth is the

greatest thing; it is so vast, it bears all its

inhabitants, it gives life, it sustains life –

that is why it is called Mother Earth.

Therefore, the land on which people

reside, giving them food and life, is the

    greatest.

Then the Lord asked, “Yes, but the land

is only a small part of the Earth. Theoceans are larger than the land – three

quarters of the Earth is covered with

water. Hence, the ocean is greater thanthe land on Earth. Is it true? Is the ocean

    greater than the land?”

“What is more, Sage Agastya drank all

the water of all the oceans, so isn’t it a

fact that Sage Agastya must be

    greater than the ocean?”

     Narada replied, “Yes, Lord. Sage

Agastya is greater than the ocean.”

Then the Lord asked, “Sage Agastya is

just a star in the vast sky, so the sky is

greater than Sage Agastya isn't it?”

Sage Narada said, “Yes, Lord. The sky is

    greater than Sage Agastya.”

Next, the Lord said, “When I came down

as Vamana Avatar, with just one step, I

crossed the entire sky, so am I not

    greater than the sky?”

Sage Narada said, “Yes, Lord. You are

    greater than the sky.”

Then the Lord said, “However, I reside

in the hearts of My devotees. I danced to

please My devotees for a cup of

buttermilk. So, are My devotees not

    greater than Me?”

Sage Narada told, “Yes, Lord. Your

    devotees are greater than You.”

In fact, the devotees of the Lord are

greater than the Lord himself. For the

Lord resides in their hearts. Whereverthere is devotion – pure love for the Lord

     – that is where the Lord resides.

There is nothing greater than the hearts

of devotees. A heart that is pure, full of

devotion, and full of selfless love is truly

    the home of the Lord.

There are many devotees gathered here.

    They may call themselves ‘devotees’,

however, if a student goes to school,

writes his own question paper, writes his

own answers, evaluates his own paper,

and gives himself a pass mark, saying, “I

have passed,” nobody is going to accept

such a certificate. It is the teacher who must prepare the

question paper; the student must answer. The teacher must correct, evaluate and

give the marks. The marks thus awarded

are the true reflection of the student’sabilities.

In the same way, it is not enough just to

call yourselves ‘devotees’. It is the Lord

who must be able to call you Hisdevotee, just as it is the teacher who

    must assign the marks.

What does the Lord expect of His

devotees? He does not expect them to

know the entire life-story of the Lord, or

to describe to others what the Lord has

done, what He is capable of doing, or

what He is going to do. Whether you say

it or not, the Lord’s glory will never

    diminish.

All He expects from His devotees is pure

love, for if love is pure, God Himselfwill be drawn towards you. You need not

go searching for God – God will come

    searching for you.

In India there is a temple for Panduranga

Vitthala. Some distance away, therelived a little boy, Pundarika, who served

his parents as the very embodiments of

God. Our scriptures say, “Mother is God,

father is God.” He served his parents

selflessly, with much devotion, in the

belief that he was serving the LordHimself in the form of his mother and

father. Pleased with his devotion, the

    Lord was very happy.

Where there is true love and true

     service, the Lord will manifest.

    There is no need to call or invite Him;

He will come of His own accord.

The people of that place were going on a

pilgrimage to Pandharipur, where there is

a temple of Vitthala and His consort,Rakhumai. When they were all leaving,

the little boy, Pundarika thought, “How

nice it would be if I could visit thistemple and have darshan of the Lord.”

However, when he looked at his old

parents, who needed his care, he decided,

“The Lord resides in my mother, the

Lord resides in my father; let me serve

them. I am sure that my service will

    reach Panduranga Vitthala in thetemple.”

All the devotees left for the pilgrimage,

singing the glory of the Lord, walking all

the way to Pandharipur. However, this

little boy continued to serve his

parents in his home. While he was

massaging the feet of his parents and

getting them ready to sleep, he heard a

knock on the door. When he heard theknock, he asked, “Who is it? I am

serving my parents. I cannot come and

attend to you.” From outside, the reply

came, “I am Pandharipur Natha, the Lord

of Pandharipur. I am Vitthala who has

come to see you because you could not

    come.”

The boy said, “Then wait outside; let me

finish serving my parents and I willcome and see you.” The Lord waited. He

threw a brick towards the Lord and said,

“Stand on the brick and wait for me. I’ll

come in a while,” – and the Lord waited.

To this day, if you go to the temple, the

statue of the Lord is still waiting for thetrue devotee to come and see Him.

I have waited all My life – and for manylives – for My true devotees. Nobody

    needs to tell Me where a true devotee is;

I will find My way to him, for I reside inno other place than the heart of such a

devotee. It is not for the purpose of

praising anyone in public that I say this,

but let Me tell you, many people haveinvited Me to Malaysia earlier, but the

truth is that most of those invitations

were only a way for someone to show

    supremacy over another. One person

thought, “Only if  I   invite Sai Baba, will

He come to Malaysia.” Another said,

“No, only if  I   invite Him will He come,

for I am dearer to Him.”

With this attitude, many people tried inmany ways to bring Me here, but therewas no way I could have come.

However, now, without any invitation, it

is I who said, “I want to go to Malaysia. Iwant to go to Sai Ananda. I want to bless

    the Medical Centre.”

If there is true love and true service, the

Lord will manifest. There is no need to

call or invite Him. He will come of Hisown accord.

Many devotees in Malaysia have been

rendering great service to Swami byserving their fellow brothers and sisters.

You come to the podium and shout,

“Dear sisters and brothers, dear sisters

and brothers,” but do you mean any of

it? If you truly feel that all are your

brothers and sisters, should your hearts

not pain you when you see their

sufferings? If you truly believe that all

are My children, should your hearts not

bleed when you see their pain?

Hrud (heart)  + daya (compassion)  =hrudaya;  the seat of compassion is the

heart. The Lord truly resides in the heartthat is truly filled with compassion.

When I came to Malaysia, I asked wherewe were to stay. He (Brother Ayavoo)

said, “Swami, our home is ready. Come

and stay there.” Today, I took all of themand showed them the room that he had

kept for Me. It had been his room, but he

changed it entirely and gave it to Mewhen I came the last time. When we

were leaving, I told him, “Use it now; it

    is your room.
