Artist Background The artist who painted this Significant mural art is Lyla, at Restoran Ipoh Sedap,
Jln SS2/63.
She was also ne of the participant that took place for The “Bestnya Malaysiaku” wall art competition,
She painted the ‘Kedai Gunting Rambut Lyla’, and won second-runner up for the wall art competition held in SS2 .

Kedai Gunting Rambut Lyla
For older time, Indian barbers have been styling the hair of Malaysian men and boys. They are a part and percel of Malaysia culture.
Kedai Gunting Rambut Lyla is a mural combined with installation art, depicting the ambience inside a barber shop which has remained the same for the last 30 years.

SS2 Malacca Riverside- The local council
organised the contest in hopes of reviving the
SS2 area. To attract local graffiti artists to take part in
the art initiative.- It carries own
meaning in every mural arts.
- The vision is to enhance Malacca’s arts
and culture scene.- To showcase a
significant storyline between the past and
present.- To utilise images
represents Malacca.
