MIISOMPURU HOMESTAY KUDAT [HS001]

Misompuru Homestay is 2 ½ hours drive from Kota Kinabalu. It is located in the District of Kudat (Sabah’s First Capital), the north of Borneo and is extremely rich in culture, nature, historical and tradition. Taginambur Homestay just about one hour drive from the city of Kota Kinabalu and twenty minutes from Kota Belud town.

The homestay is situated on the Plains of Kadamaian valley. This place is also called the “VALLEY OF PEACE” because of it’s quiet and tranquil environment.

The village is surrounded by rubber farms, orchards and paddy field where you can have first hand experience on touch farm, the village local dishes and beverages.

MELANGKAP HOMESTAY KOTA BELUD [HS003] Melangkap Homestay is situated in Kota Belud, about 98 Kilometer from Kota Kinabalu and 63 Kilometer from Tamparuli. It takes about one and half hour driving time from the Kota Kinabalu City and from either ways.

Melangkap Homestar is also located at Low’s Gully outlet which is known as the hidden paradise for the visitors and a hidden treasure to the local due to it’s unique beauty and rich in nature. The gully covered by evergreen forest and a home to thousand of living species like vegetation, flowers and animals that are yet to be explored. It is a hotspot for rare and endangered species such as Bornean Pygmy Elephants, Gibbons, Orangutan, Proboscis monkeys, Hornbills and many rare and spectacular birds and wildlife, all of which are relatively easily seen here.

An evening or dawn boat ride is an experience such as that should not be missed, not only to catch sight of rare and spectacular primates and birdlife species seen nowhere else but the sheer breathtaking beauty of the river is a humbling experience.

The locals of this village (the “Orang Sungai “ or River people) have a special place in the rich ethnic and cultural heritage of Sabah. Written records dating back more than 1000 years mentioning the area and the people. The historical glory is preserved for posterity in the ancient burial caves found in the centre of Batu Puteh Village. In the upper cave chambers of the Batu Tulug outcrop, unique Borneon motifs can still be seen carved ornately into the ironwood burial caskets. This cave outcrop is just minutes off the main highway in the cebtre of the village and today has a mini-museum to display and protect this heritage site.
