A. BASIC TERMS

3. Brief Description of Gameshow

I-Stars (“Competition”) is a reality show in search of Islamic multi-talented children across South East Asia.

4. Brief mechanism of Gameshow

The Competition comprises the following stages: 1) Audition

The audition process is divided into two (2) methods:

i) Online Audition Please refer to Section 10 of Entry Procedure for details. Shortlisted Contestants will be notified and are required to attend the On-Ground Audition.

ii) On Ground Audition

The On-Ground Audition shall comprise of the following stages: - a) Registration and Vetting b) Stage 1 – Basic talent audition c) Stage 2 - Character and Personality Assessment – Q&A session d) Stage 3 – Background check – Q&A session

The On Ground auditions will be held at the following venues:

2) Weekly Show

Shortlisted Contestants are required to perform in the Competition according to the concept. Their performances will be evaluated by

appointed judges. The weekly scoring will be based on 100% juries selection.

3) Grand Final

For the Grand Final, the scoring will be based on 20% SMS votes, 30% online votes received from the audience and 50% from juries’ selection. Contestant(s) with the lowest votes and scores will or may be eliminated. Contestant with the highest votes and scores will be the champion of the Competition. In the event of a tie, the Contestant with the highest number of SMS votes received shall be crowned as the champion.

The Contestants must adhere to the mechanism of the Competition as may be briefed and communicated to the Contestants by the Organiser during the Competition Period or the episode concerned (as the case may be).

5. Eligibility Criteria a) The Competition is open to all South East Asia citizens and Permanent Resident of Malaysia with valid Malaysian MyKid or MyKad, International passport between the ages of 5 to 15 years old. For the avoidance of doubt, please refer to Section 7 - Age of Eligibility below.

b) Contestants must be South East Asia citizens respectively and must

possess valid MyKid or MyKad (Malaysian entries), and valid international Passport (other South East Asia entries).

c) All Contestants must obtain the written consent of his/her parent or

legal guardian in order to be eligible to participate in the Competition and to receive the Prize. The Organiser considers it the responsibility of parents and/or legal guardian to monitor their children’s participation in this Competition.

6. e Ineligibility a) Employees, freelancers or scholars of Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad, Measat Broadcast Network Systems Sdn Bhd, Astro Productions Sdn Bhd, Astro Digital Sdn Bhd and Astro All Asia Network plc, and its group of companies and their *immediate family members;

b) Employees of the Sponsors and their immediate family members; and

c) The Champion, First Runner Up and Second Runner Up of “I-stars

2016” are not allowed to participate in the Competition.

*immediate family members means spouse, children, parents, brothers and sisters

7. Age of Eligibility The Competition is open to all South East Asia citizens between 5 to 15 years old, meaning not below 5 years old as at 1 July 2017 and not above 15 years old as of 1 July 2017. If the Contestant was born before or after this window, he/she is not eligible to participate in the Competition.

8. Competition Period

From 24 September 2017 to 17 November 2017 The Organiser reserves the right to amend, postpone or re-schedule the Competition Period or any of the dates thereof at its sole discretion.

9. Language of Competition The Competition will be organized and produced by the Organiser in Bahasa Malaysia.

10. Entry Procedure For Online Audition

i) Online audition will be opened via submission of application by uploading a video on Instagram and Facebook using #ceriaistar from 14 July 2017 until 20 August 2017; and

ii) The video should showcase Contestant’s talent and the video will be by reviewed by the Organiser and its panel of Judges.

Shortlisted applicants will be notified to attend the On-Ground Audition. For On-Ground Audition The Contestant must fill in the Registration Form (which can be obtained at the audition venue(s)), attach the following (which are non-returnable) and send the same to the Organiser :- i. One (1) clear photocopy of the Contestant’s MyKid/MyKad(Malaysian

citizens) and valid International Passport(other South East Asia citizens); and

ii. Two (2) recent 4R size photographs (1 half-length and 1 full-length) of the Contestant;

iii. One (1) recent passport photograph of the Contestant. The Organiser shall be entitled to request to sight the original Malaysian Identity Cards), or valid International Passport or the originals of other supporting documents/materials for verification purposes.

11. Entry Deadline Entry must be received by the Organiser on or before:

i) Online Audition – 20 August 2017 at 0000hrs. ii) On-Ground Audition - 2.00pm on the audition date at each On-

Ground Audition Venues as listed under Item 4. Entries received before the commencement of the Competition Period and after the stipulated Entry Deadline will be disqualified and ineligible for consideration for participation and/or prizes.

12. Mode All entries must be submitted personally by the Contestants and/or parent/legal guardian during the On-Ground Audition at the respective venues.

14. Selection of Winner Winners of the Competition will be chosen based on the format of the Competition.

15. Prize Champion - Ringgit Malaysia Fifteen Thousand (RM15,000.00) 1st Runner Up - Ringgit Malaysia Ten Thousand (RM10,000.00) 2nd Runner Up - Ringgit Malaysia Five Thousand (RM5,000.00) 3rd Runner Up - Ringgit Malaysia One Thousand (RM1,000.00)

16. Notification of winners Winners of the Competition will be announced at the end of the season of the Competition (Final Concert).

17. Collection Period Within six (6) months from date of notification by the Organiser.

19. Additional Terms, if any 1. The Contestants must be free from any contractual obligation/arrangement or any other legal encumbrance, which may prevent him/her from participating in this Competition and/or entering into a possible service or management contract with the Organizer after the Competition.

2. The aim of the Competition is to encourage, discover and train new

talent and as a condition to being given the opportunity to compete in the Competition, all Participants, if selected as a semifinalists/finalist/top 10 (hereafter “Finalists”), will be required to enter into a Contestant Participant Agreement and a Management Agreement with the Organizer and/or any of its affiliated and/or related company. The Organizer shall have sole control over the details of the production and the broadcast of the Competition including determining any changes thereto.

The Basic Terms, Privacy Notice and the Standard Terms and Conditions (collectively “Terms and Conditions”) shall be binding on all contestants who participate in this Competition (“Contestants”). The definitions in the Standard Terms and Conditions shall apply unless otherwise expressly agreed in the Basic Terms. In the event of any inconsistency between the Standard Terms and Conditions and the Basic Terms, the Basic Terms shall prevail to the extent of such inconsistency. Entry and participation in the Competition shall be deemed an unconditional acceptance by the Contestants of the Terms and Conditions.
