safety and security and using sustainable energy for various farm activities. The theme of the conference is carefully selected to serve the interests of both the government and public sectors. It is timely to hold this conference in Malaysia, and in the Universiti Putra Malaysia in particular, since there is a focus presently and in the future on using sustainable agriculture and renewable energy. This conference has be held six times before, twice in Germany and once each in Denmark, China, Canada and Japan.
