As part of MBA, carried out the project work “A Study of Basel II Pillar 3 disclosure in Singapore”. This case study attempts to analyze How Basel II – Pillar 3 disclosure impacts provisioning for NPA in Singapore banks and its impacts on their earning quality based the hypothesis; “More provisions for bad debts is to reduce level of NPA, but having increased provisions will also have impacts on banks earning quality”.

It also discus about evolving bank supervisory and regulatory framework Basel II and its three arms Pillar 1, Pillar 2, and Pillar 3. The study has used multiple regression research methodology to evaluate the relationship between dependent loan loss provision variable and multiple independent variables total capital ratio, retained earnings, bank earning quality variables, loans to total asset ratio and NPA ratio.
