1. PENGELUARAN

Pengeluaran getah asli pada Oktober 2013

dicatat sebanyak 61,489 tan metrik. Ia

berkurangan sebanyak 10,807 tan metrik

(-14.9%) berbanding bulan lepas, manakala

tahun atas tahun menunjukkan kejatuhan

sebanyak 22,102 tan metrik (-26.4%).

Penyumbang terbesar pengeluaran getah asli

adalah dari sektor kebun kecil iaitu sebanyak

92.1 peratus manakala sektor estet hanya

menyumbang sebanyak 7.9 peratus. Pengeluar

getah asli yang tertinggi di estet pada bulan ini

adalah Negeri Sembilan (22.1%), diikuti dengan

Perak (17.4%) dan Johor (16.5%) (Jadual 14).

1. PRODUCTION

The production of natural rubber (NR) in

October 2013 was recorded at 61,489 tonnes. It

decreased by 10,807 tonnes (-14.9%) when

compare to the previous month, whilst

year-on-year showed a decrease of 22,102

tonnes (-26.4%). The major contributor of NR

was from the smallholding sector with 92.1 per

cent while the estate sector contributed only 7.4

per cent. This month’s main producers of NR in

estates were Negeri Sembilan (22.1%),

followed by Perak (17.4%), and Johor (16.5%)

(Table 14).

2. EKSPORT

Sebanyak 78,965 tan metrik getah asli dieksport

pada Oktober 2013, jatuh 851 tan metrik (-1.1%)

dari bulan lepas. Walau bagaimanapun, eksport

meningkat 18.4 peratus berbanding Oktober

2012. Getah Mutu Malaysia (G.M.M.)

merangkumi 91.9 peratus dari keseluruhan

eksport di mana gred G.M.M. 20 merupakan

gred yang tertinggi dieksport (56.1%).

Rep. Rakyat China adalah destinasi utama

eksport getah asli (49.0%), diikuti oleh Jerman

(11.3%), Rep. Islam Iran (6.7%), Amerika

Syarikat (5.8%), Brazil (4.7%), Rep. Korea

(2.8%), Afrika Selatan (1.5%) dan Portugal

(1.5%). Jumlah eksport ke negara tersebut

merangkumi 83.3 peratus daripada keseluruhan

eksport getah asli.

2. EXPORTS

A total of 78,965 tonnes of NR was exported in

October 2013, decreased by 851 tonnes

(-1.1%) from the previous month. Nevertheless,

exports increased by 18.4 per cent compared to

October 2012. The Standard Malaysian Rubber

(S.M.R.) constituted 91.9 per cent of total

exports of which the S.M.R 20 grade was the

highest grade exported (56.1%).

The People’s Rep. of China was the main

destination for exports of NR (49.0%), followed

by Germany (11.3%), Islamic Rep. of Iran

(6.7%), U.S.A. (5.8%), Brazil (4.7%), Rep. of

Korea (2.8%), South Africa (1.5%) and Portugal

(1.5%). The total exports to these countries

accounted for 83.3 per cent of the overall NR

exports.

3. IMPORT

Pada Oktober 2013, import getah asli dicatat

sebanyak 85,048 tan metrik. Import turun

apabila dibanding bulan atas bulan dan tahun

atas tahun, masing-masing 2,243 tan metrik

(-2.6%) dan 8,013 tan metrik (-8.6%). Jenis

getah asli utama diimport pada bulan ini adalah

Getah Berpiawaian (42.2%) dan Lateks Pekat

(31.6%).

Getah asli diimport terutamanya dari Thailand

dengan jumlah sebanyak 44.3 peratus dan Viet

Nam 33.3 peratus. Kedua-dua negara tersebut

merangkumi 77.6 peratus daripada keseluruhan

import getah asli pada Oktober 2013.

3. IMPORTS

In October 2013, imports of NR was recorded at

85,048 tonnes. Imports decreased when

compared month-on-month and year-on-year at

2,243 tonnes (-2.6%) and 8,013 tonnes (-8.6%)

respectively. The main type of NR imported was

Standard Rubber (42.2%) and Latex

Concentrate (31.6%).

NR was imported mainly from Thailand at 44.3

per cent and Viet Nam 33.3 per cent. These two

countries accounted for 77.6 per cent of the

total NR imports in October 2013.

4. PENGGUNAAN DOMESTIK

Pada Oktober 2013, penggunaan domestik

getah asli adalah sebanyak 36,726 tan metrik.

Ia jatuh sebanyak 701 tan metrik (-1.9%)

berbanding September 2013. Perbandingan

tahun atas tahun juga menunjukkan penurunan

sebanyak 1,571 tan metrik (-4.1%).

Sarung tangan getah merupakan industri

terbesar yang menggunakan getah asli iaitu

sebanyak 25,397 tan metrik (69.1%) diikuti

dengan benang getah (9.1%) serta tayar dan

tiub (7.0%). Ketiga-tiga industri ini

menggunakan sebanyak 31,302 tan metrik

(85.2%) daripada keseluruhan getah asli pada

bulan ini.

4. DOMESTIC CONSUMPTION

In October 2013, domestic consumption of NR

was 36,726 tonnes. It dropped by 701 tonnes

(-1.9%) when compared to September 2013.

Year-on-year comparison also shows a

decrease of 1,571 tonnes (-4.1%).

Rubber gloves was the largest NR consuming

industry at 25,397 tonnes (69.1%) followed by

rubber thread (9.1%) and tyre and tubes (7.0%).

These three industries together consumed

31,302 tonnes (85.2%) of this month’s total NR.

5. STOK

Jumlah stok getah asli yang direkodkan pada

akhir Oktober 2013 adalah sebanyak 157,551

tan metrik. Paras stok jatuh 10,330 tan metrik

(-6.2%) daripada bulan lepas tetapi naik 6.1

peratus apabila dibanding dengan Oktober

2012. Pemproses Getah merupakan pemegang

stok getah asli yang terbesar (89.7%).

5. STOCKS

The total stocks of NR at the end of October

2013 was recorded at 157,551 tonnes. The

level of stocks decreased by 10,330 tonnes

(-6.2%) from the previous month but increased

by 6.1 per cent when compared to October

2012. Rubber Processors held the biggest

share of NR stocks (89.7%).

6. HARGA PURATA BULANANSEKILOGRAM (Sebut Harga Pada WaktuTengah Hari - “F.O.B.”)

Pada Oktober 2013, harga purata lateks pekat

direkod sebanyak 528.45 sen, turun 26.95 sen

(-4.9%) berbanding bulan lepas dan jatuh 87.75

sen (-14.2%) apabila dibanding dengan Oktober

2012.

Harga G.M.M. 20 pula dicatatkan sebanyak

734.05 sen, turun 42.63 sen (-5.5%) berbanding

sebulan lepas dan 153.36 sen (-17.3%)

daripada setahun yang lepas.

6. AVERAGE MONTHLY PRICE PERKILOGRAMME (Noon Quotations - F.O.B.)

In October 2013, the average price of latex

concentrate was recorded at 528.45 sen,

dropped 26.95 sen (-4.9%) when compared to

the previous month and decreased by 87.75

sen (-14.2%) when compared to October 2012.

The price of S.M.R. 20 was registered at

734.05 sen, dropped 42.63 sen (-5.5%)

compared to a month ago and 153.36 sen

(-17.3%) from a year ago.

7. GUNA TENAGA

Jumlah bilangan pekerja di estet getah pada

Oktober 2013 adalah seramai 12,233 orang

yang mana 12,229 adalah pekerja bergaji

dengan gaji & upah yang dibayar adalah

sebanyak RM15.3 juta. Jumlah pekerja bergaji

pada bulan ini turun sebanyak 2.5 peratus

daripada bulan lepas dan 2.0 peratus daripada

setahun yang lepas.

7. EMPLOYMENT

The total number of workers engaged in the

rubber estates in October 2013 totalled 12,233

persons where 12,229 were paid employees

with salaries & wages amounting to RM15.3

million. The number of paid employees for this

month decreased by 2.5 per cent from the

previous month and 2.0 per cent from a year

ago..

8. PRODUKTIVITI

Pada Oktober 2013, produktiviti getah asli di estet

dicatat sebanyak 117.3 kilogram sehektar, jatuh

6.9 peratus berbanding sebulan yang lepas.

Tahun atas tahun juga menunjukkan penurunan

dalam produktiviti sebanyak 15.0 kilogram

sehektar (-11.3%).

8. PRODUCTIVITY

In October 2013, the productivity of NR in

estates was registered at 117.3 kilogramme per

hectare, dropped 6.9 per cent when compared

to a month ago. Year-on-year also shows a

decrease in productivity by 15.0 kilogramme per

hectare (-11.3%).

1. Pengenalan

1.1 Mulai Januari 2004, laporan Perangkaan Getah Bulanan Malaysia diterbitberdasarkan format baru termasuk juga liputan yang terkini. Pendekatanbaru yang diguna pakai adalah berdasarkan data yang diperolehdaripada Banci Estet Getah (RE), Pemproses Getah (RP) dan PenggunaGetah (RC).

1.2 Maklumat tambahan di dalam penerbitan ini termasuk stok getahmengikut pemilikan, harga mengikut kategori getah dan produktiviti estetgetah di Malaysia.

2. Kajian Data Pengeluaran Getah, 2000-2003

2.1 Pada pertengahan tahun 2003, Jabatan Perangkaan Malaysia (JPM)bersama-sama dengan Lembaga Getah Malaysia (LGM) telahmengadakan perbincangan untuk menambahbaik kaedah pengumpulandata bagi pengeluaran getah asli.

2.2 Kajian telah dijalankan dengan menggunakan data daripada borang soalselidik RD 1A (Banci Peniaga Getah) dengan memberi tumpuan kepada89 buah kilang memproses getah. Borang soal selidik telah dihantarkepada 89 buah kilang memproses tersebut untuk mendapatkanmaklumat berkenaan dengan pembelian getah mentah tempatan yangsebenar.

2.3 Memandangkan hasil yang diperoleh adalah amat positif, mulai tahun2004, borang soal selidik baru iaitu Banci Pemproses Getah (RP) telahdiperkenalkan bagi menggantikan Banci Peniaga Getah (RD 1A). Liputanrangka banci telah berkurang daripada sejumlah 1,961 peniaga getahkepada hanya 91 pemproses getah sahaja. Borang Banci Estet GetahBulanan (RM) dan Banci Pengguna Getah (RC) juga turut diubahsuaimengikut perkembangan industri getah masa kini.

3. Penyediaan Data Dalam Perangkaan Getah Bulanan

3.1 Data Pengeluaran

Mulai Januari 2004, data pengeluaran getah diperoleh daripada borangBanci Pemproses Getah (RP). Penjanaan data pengeluaran tersebutdibuat dengan andaian bahawa semua getah mentah akan sampai kekilang proses untuk menghasilkan barangan separa siap.

3.2 Data Pengeluaran Mengikut Negeri

Dengan pengambilan data pengeluaran getah asli Malaysia dari kilang-kilang memproses getah, data-data pengeluaran mengikut negeri tidakdapat ditunjukkan. Ini disebabkan kilang-kilang yang di dalam liputanbanci, menerima/membeli getah mentah daripada negeri-negeri lain diluar tempat lokasi kilang tersebut berada. Dengan yang demikian, datayang diperoleh tidak dapat menggambarkan data pengeluaran baginegeri tersebut.

3.3 Penggunaan Domestik

Penggunaan domestik getah asli bagi tempoh 2000-2003 yangdipaparkan dalam penerbitan ini diambil daripada Penyiasatan PenggunaGetah yang dijalankan oleh LGM. Namun, mulai Januari 2004, datapenggunaan domestik tersebut diperoleh daripada soal selidik RC yangdilaksanakan oleh JPM.

3.4 Stok Akhir

Stok Akhir getah diambil daripada Estet Getah (RE) bagi stok getah yangterdapat di estet, Pemproses Getah (RP) bagi stok getah yang belum dansudah diproses dan Pengguna Getah (RC) bagi stok getah yang belumdigunakan untuk menghasilkan barangan siap.

3.5 Harga Getah

Mulai bulan Januari 2004, harga bagi GAB 1 tidak lagi di kumpul olehLGM. Namun penerbitan ini mempamerkan harga bagi setiap kategorigetah iaitu daripada getah mentah hingga ke getah separa siap.

3.6 Produktiviti Hasil Ditoreh

Mulai Januari 2004, data bagi produktiviti hasil ditoreh bagi estet getah diMalaysia telah dimasukkan dalam laporan ini. Maklumat tersebut dapatmemberikan gambaran produktiviti hasil ditoreh bagi bulan rujukan disamping produktiviti pekerja-pekerja estet di Malaysia. Produktiviti hasilditoreh dikira dengan membahagikan jumlah pengeluaran dengankeluasan ditoreh pada bulan rujukan.

1. Introduction

1.1 Beginning January 2004, the report, Monthly Rubber Statistics Malaysia,is released based on a new format as well as an updated coverage. Thenew approach adopted was based on data obtained from the Census ofRubber Estates (RE), Rubber Processors (RP) and Rubber Consumers(RC).

1.2 Additional information in this publication includes stocks of rubber byownership, price by category of rubber and productivity of rubber estatesin Malaysia.

2. Study on Rubber Production Data, 2000 - 2003

2.1 In mid 2003, the Department of Statistics (DOS), Malaysia together withthe Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) held discussions to improve on themethods to collect data on production of natural rubber.

2.2 A study was conducted using data from the RD 1A (Census of RubberDealers) questionnaire with special attention focused on 89 rubberprocessing factories. A questionnaire was sent out to the 89 processingfactories to obtain information relating to the actual purchase of local rawrubber.

2.3 As the outcome of the study was very positive, beginning 2004, a newquestionnaire, namely Census of Rubber Processors (RP) wasintroduced to replace the Census of Rubber Dealers (RD 1A). Thecoverage of the census was reduced from a total of 1,961 rubber dealersto only 91 rubber processors. The questionnaires on the Monthly Censusof Rubber Estates (RM) and the Monthly Census of Rubber Consumers(RC) were also amended in accordance with the latest development inthe rubber industry.

3. Data Compilation for Monthly Rubber Statistics

3.1 Data on Production

Beginning January 2004, data on rubber production was derived from theRP questionnaire. It was made on the assumption that all raw rubberproduced locally will eventually reach the processing factories to beproduced into semi-finished goods.

3.2 Production Data by State

By compiling data on production of Malaysian natural rubber from therubber processing factories, data on production by state could not beshown. This is because the factories under the census coverage alsoreceived/bought raw rubber from other states outside the location of thefactories. As such the data compiled did not reflect production data of aparticular state.

3.3 Domestic Consumption

Domestic consumption of rubber for the period 2000-2003 presented inthis publication was obtained from the Rubber Consumers Surveyconducted by MRB. However, beginning January 2004, the data ondomestic consumption is derived from the RC questionnaire conducted byDOS.

3.4 Stocks of Rubber

Stocks of rubber was derived from Rubber Estates (RE) for stocks ofrubber in estates, Rubber Processors (RP) for stocks of rubber beforeand after process and Rubber Consumers (RC) for stocks of rubber notyet used to produce finished products.

3.5 Rubber Price

Beginning January 2004, the price for RSS 1 was not collected by theMRB. Nevertheless, the publication presents price for each category ofrubber, i.e. from raw rubber to semi-finished rubber.

3.6 Productivity on Yield Tapped

Beginning January 2004, data for productivity on yield tapped for rubberestates is included in this report. This information reflects the productivityof yield tapped for the reference month, together with the estate workers’productivity in Malaysia. The productivity on yield tapped is derived bydividing the total production by the total area tapped during the referencemonth.
