Introducing the Model 560 ESCA/SAM. A complete surface chemistry laboratory. Most analytical and research laboratories face a wide range of surface chemistry problems, so multiple surface analysis tech- niques are needed to do the job. That's why PHI®designed the new Model 560 ESCA/SAM for opti- mum, computerized ESCA and SAM performance. Each tech- nique offers unique advantages for different types of samples. Used together, they provide a more detailed analysis and a higher probability of getting the correct answer to a problem. PHI's new SIMS Π accessory can also be added to the Model 560. Software for the integral computer system covers all of these tech- niques practically and efficiently. Features include: Maximum Sample Throughput A sample introduction system, combined with the integral com- puter system, ensures the highest sample throughput and lowest cost per sample. High ESCA Count Rates A new, high flux, dual anode x-ray source in combination with a cylindrical-mirror analyzer pro- vides higher count rates for excel- lent ESCA sensitivity. Improved SAM Performance Redesigned coaxial electron gun provides beam diameters below 2 Mm for improved SAM resolution and SEM imaging. Total System Automation Computerized system control and data manipulation increase sam- ple throughput. Available software provides maximum spectral in- formation for a more thorough analysis. Optional Transfer Vessel A special transfer vessel allows sample pre-treatment and trans- fer to the analysis chamber without exposure to outside atmosphere. Introducing the Model 5 6 0 ESCA/SAM. A complete surface chemistry laboratory.

Most analytical and research laboratories face a wide range of surface chemistry problems, so multiple surface analysis techniques are needed to do the job. That's why PHI®designed the new Model 560 ESCA/SAM for optimum, computerized ESCA and SAM performance. Each technique offers unique advantages for different types of samples. Used together, they provide a more detailed analysis and a higher probability of getting the correct answer to a problem. PHI's new SIMS Π accessory can also be added to the Model 560. Software for the integral computer system covers all of these techniques practically and efficiently. Features include:

Maximum Sample Throughput A sample introduction system, combined with the integral computer system, ensures the highest

sample throughput and lowest cost per sample.

High ESCA Count Rates A new, high flux, dual anode x-ray source in combination with a cylindrical-mirror analyzer provides higher count rates for excellent ESCA sensitivity.

Improved SAM Performance Redesigned coaxial electron gun provides beam diameters below 2 Mm for improved SAM resolution and SEM imaging.

Total System Automation Computerized system control and data manipulation increase sample throughput. Available software provides maximum spectral information for a more thorough analysis.

Optional Transfer Vessel A special transfer vessel allows sample pre-treatment and transfer to the analysis chamber without exposure to outside atmosphere.
