Introduction
We were given the task to planning and proceed product which making it based on wood. The task must
complete in a month but before that, we must learn a lot of procedure to make a product. It was quiet
hard to did but we must figure it out about the solution to resolved it.
In order to resolved it and go the first step to making a product based on wood, we spent a five day (12
to 16 january 2009) in autocadd seminar with Encik Azhar Ayup as officer of management of production
ang designing who was taught how to drawing plan furniture using autocadd to use.

After the autocadd seminar, we spent a five day (26 to 30 january 2009) in Malaysia grading rules
seminar which Encik Rahim Embee as officer of major processing (wood product) who was taught how
to know anatomy of wood and the function able of the wood. So that we know which one wood we
would to choose for our project.
For planning and construction project, we spent a four weeks (9 to 27 february 2009) to do the drawing
of our product, measured how big of the product and present it to Encik Amri Mustaffa who is officer ofmachining and technology. He was in charge during our project was being remaining.
After our drawing and measurement four product has been approved, we were started which looking
for material such as wood or composite, lamelo or dowel, wood glue, clamper, suitable machine. The
major wood that we choose were chipboard, this because the solid wood has been already finishing for
the bigger project. We got the chipboard which using table saw machine because at the machine
already have a rule for us to accurate the measurement that me counted.

We used two lamelos and wood glue for every joint of the chipboard, before the jointing, we use lamelo
machine to make a hole for lamelo and wood glue stick up between of the joint. After the piece of the
chipboard, become a rank, we made the door for the top of shelf using the medium density fiber (mdf)
and veneer for the decoration. We were not doing our finishing to our product because the room of
finishing was being under construction. We doing our report and presented our product to Encik Muhd
Fuad ishak as administration for officer for the marks.
Conclusion and Recommendations
Our industrial training was meaningful as we learned and gain a lot of knowledge about the procedure
of making product such as furniture based on wood. We believe which a great design, suitable of wood,
right preservative and drying of wood would make a quality of furniture if product. The industry of
Malaysia would be even better if we know the right methods of making the product and know how to
promote and sell it.
We hope that our industrial training would organize short seminar for the teenager or student and also
the industrial worker so that we can learn more about wood industry. We recommend that they must
visit wood industry development centre to see what they can learn there to make good product and
good training. We would be to glad to accompany them if they need our assistance.
