A UNIVERSITY THAT I HAVE STUDIED BEFORE

PEMARKAHAN

After twenty years of time, now I can come back and see what Sungai Petani town has

become. Visiting back my ex home town during my college time was a very memorable time.

Through my visit I saw a lot of changing occurred at the both side of my way. There were

some buildings still manage to be maintained but most of it was partially or fully rebuilt. So

vast and beautiful panorama as I could see so many colourful new buildings stand up tall in

this new regenerated town. New ideas of landscaping had merged the town to a better class of

its own. As I went through my old college once again I was amazed. All the memories had to

be recall to gain back all the landmarks and places that I used to go and relax.

BODY

I still remember the bus that I used to take when it came to time that we had to go to Sungai

Petani town. The road we were taking, all were definitely changing. The front gate of the

college was no longer a safe place for us to cross to the food stall across it. The road was so

wide and broad until the trainee teachers had to use the pedestrian traffic light to make it

across. All the shady trees at the both side of the road were no longer appeared. Just the

blocks of buildings and shop houses fill in the whole way to the college. I still can see the

football field that we used to had our morning assembly and “Tai Chi”. My tutorial buildings

and hostel were still there but of course were being given a new look here and there. All the

memories kept on rushing in as I went by all these college compound. Nobody care with my

non formal visit. No more familiar faces of lecturers or friends.

CONCLUSION

As I continued my way out of the college front gate , without reason I felt so touchy. Tears

came running down. Was it really twenty years caused it was just liked I had been trainee

teacher here yesterday. But still I am happy for all the positive changes happened here in my

college. I have never regret to be one of the trainee teacher here as it has make all my dreams

comes true.
