Reactions 1078 - 19 Nov 2005 Cetuximab Skin eruptions: case report A 48-year-old man received IV cetuximab for metastatic colorectal cancer [dosage, duration of treatment and time to reaction onset not stated] and developed a skin eruption consisting of sterile papules and pustules with an adherent yellow crust on his chest, back and face. The crust on his face was debrided and hydrocortisone cream was applied to the right side of his face and tazarotene cream to the left. One week later, the right side of his face showed greater improvement. Author comment: "This rash is a characteristic effect of therapy with [epidermal growth factor receptor] inhibitors and is associated with an improved outcome." Moss JE, et al.
