General Guideline

Team Category (Team of 3 members)

• All registrations are ONLINE. Students are required to form their own team with 3

(three) students in each team.

• Each team member have to sit for the Online School Level Test. The test consists

of 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and are given 30 minutes to complete the

test.

• Only the TOP 50% of the total teams participating in each school with the highest

total points will advance to the District Level.

Individual Category

• All registrations are ONLINE. Individual may register their name in individual

category to part take in the quiz.

• Each student have to sit for the Online School Level Test. The test consists of 50

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and are given 30 minutes to complete the test.

• Only the TOP 50% of the total individual students participating in each school

with the highest points will advance to the District Level.

Individual Category• Each student have to sit for the Online District Level Test. The test consists of 50

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and are given 30 minutes to complete the test.

the highest points will advance to the State Level.

Team Category (Team of 3 members)• Each team member have to sit for the Online District Level Test. The test consists of

50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and are given 30 minutes to complete the test.

• Only the TOP 50% of the total teams participating in each District with the highest

total points will advance to the State Level.

Individual Category• Each student have to sit for the Online State Level Test. The test consists of 50

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and are given 30 minutes to complete the test.

• The State Champion will be selected from the TOP Individual who score the highest

points in each State and will be given a recognition as “State Champion”

• Only the TOP 10 individuals from the total individuals participating in the State level

with the highest points will advance to the National Level.

Team Category (Team of 3 members)• Each team member have to sit for the Online State Level Test. The test consists of 50

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and are given 30 minutes to complete the test.

• The State Champion will be selected from the TOP team who score the highest points

in each State and will be given a recognition as “State Champion”.

• Only the TOP 10 teams from the total teams participating in the State level with the

highest total points will advance to the National Level.

Note:

The “State Champion” will not be automatically advance to the National Level. Only ten (10) participants in

Individual Category and ten (10) teams in Team Category with the highest total points will advance to the

National Level.

Individual Category• The Top 10 individuals will be competing for the National Champion-Individual

Category in the Grand Final – National Level.

• The competition will be carried in 3 rounds :

� Round 1 - Online quiz

� Round 2 & Round 3 – Onstage quiz

• The Champion, 2nd Placed and 3rd placed winners will be determined by the highest

total points gained in this Level.

Team Category (Team of 3 members)• The Top 10 teams will be competing for the National Champion-Team Category in the

Grand Final – National Level.

• The competition will be carried out in 3 rounds :

� Round 1 - Online quiz

� Round 2 & Round 3– Onstage quiz

• National Level (LIVE)

Round 1 - MCQs

• All participants for individual and team category will be sitting for 50 MCQs in the computer

lab and are given 20 minutes to complete the quiz.

• The top five (5) individual participants/teams with the highest total points will proceed to

Round 2.

Round 2 - Questions Selection for Opponent Teams

• Each individual participant/team is allow to select the question number for their opponent

individual participant/team. Any wrong answer, points will be deducted. This round will be

carried out in two (2) cycles.

• The top five (5) individual participants/teams with the highest total point in Round 1 and

Round 2 will proceed to Round 3.

Round 3 - Push Buzz Button

• Each individual participant/team will also be tested on the speed by pushing the buzz button

to answer the question. Any wrong answer, points will be deducted and the Quiz Master

will open the question for a second attempt to the rest of the individual participants/teams.

Any wrong answer, points will be deducted. This round will be carried out in two (2) cycles.

• The total points in Round 3 will determine the Champion, 1st Runner-up and 2nd Runner-up

for the Individual Category and Team Category.

Quiz Mechanism

• National Level (LIVE) – Team Category (3 Team Members) – cont.

• Should there be a tie in points earned after Round 3 (Push Buzz Button), the

Sudden Death Round will be implemented as follows:

The individual participants/teams will have to press the buzzer after the Quiz

Master has finished reading the question, and the participant/team is/are required

to provide an answer within two (2) minutes. If the answer is correct, the

participant/team will automatically become the winner. If the participant/team

failed to provide an accurate answer, the Quiz Master will open the question for a

second attempt to the remaining individual participants/teams.
