INTRODUCTION

Repellants are an important tool to assist people in protecting themselves from mosquito-borne diseases

Female mosquitoes feed blood to help their eggs develop into offspring. When she bites, she releases her saliva into the area where she is biting. Her saliva contains proteins that may cause some people to have an allergic

reactions such as itchy red bumps and swollen hives. For those with increased sensitivity to bites, a blister, bruise or large

inflammatory reaction can occur. If a mosquito is harboring a virus, it is possible that she can transmit the virus

virus to humans through her saliva.

HOW DO MOSQUITO FIND YOU?

Two major mosquito attractants are carbon dioxide (CO2) + heat produced mainly from breath and the skin, and human odours from sweat and toiletries such as soap.

Mosquito have powerful sensors that are able to detect the presence of these attractants at a distance of over 30 meters.

Once a scent is picked up by a mosquito, it charges rapidly at the direction of its victim.

MozzieRID Natural Aromatic Skin Wipe is a pre-moistened wipe, neat and safe alternative to messy lotions. Repels mosquito-borne diseases by emanating fragrances and cooling down the body heat during perspirancy.This unique scent and cooling substances contain in the product can over powers human odours and heat wave, thus deflecting mosquitoes away. Simply tear a wipe off and apply to skin or clothing and discard. Less mess and less waste mean added convenience and value. Reclosable top prevents wipes from drying out.

The novel feature of this invention is the formulation itself wherein this skin wipe consisted of single repellent oil only plus a Hibiscus gelatin to overpower human odours and help to cool the body heat during perspirancy respectively, thus deflecting mosquitoes away.

PRODUCT SPECIFICATION

This natural aromatic skin wipe is specially formulated for all stage of ages from infant to the elderly.

This formula is totally a novel feature herein no additional essential oils is added that can cause skin reactions (e.g. irritant, rashes), acts as a natural styptic or astringent effect and also used an environmental-friendly sheet that can be recycled as well as easily to be degraded.

Therefore, this invention is very practical for the household use and also at any time when needed (e.g. camping, trekking and other outdoor activities).

Various mosquito-transmitted illnesses (including malaria, dengue and yellow fever) are still a serious public health problem in the most developing countries.

Therefore, there is a huge potential market for an alternative effective insect repellent in which this product is a user-friendly, mobile, safer and cheaper than the existing one.

Develop the existing product into aqua-spray/aqua-gel granules/hydrogel patch form.

Find a new plant-derived essential oils that produce not only repellency to insects-borne diseases (e.g. mosquitoes, biting flies, ticks etc.) but also as an antiviral and antibacterial by utilizing the same formulation of the existing products.
