Ceramah ini dimulakan pada pukul 8.00 a.m. Penceramah utama ialah Puan Farah Adliah Binti Abdullah , seorang Pegawai Sains Pemakanan yang berpengalaman. Beliau bertugas di Klinik Kesihatan Tampoi.

Pegawai Sains Pemakanan menerangkan konsep asas tentang pemakanan seimbang dan sihat kepada murid-murid. Beliau menggunakan banyak contoh dan gambar -gambar sebagai pilihan untuk muird-murid lebih senang faham tentang pemakanan sihat seharian. Beliau juga mengajar murid -murid mengira nilai BMI sendiri . Beliau juga menasihatkan murid-murid kurangkan kuantiti penggunaan dan pemakanan garam dan gula dalam kehidupan seharian.

5. Objective : a. Improve the level of cleanliness in class

9. Description of activity : The Classroom Cleanliness and Beautification

Competition is an initiative to promote cleanliness and beautification in classrooms. Students are given the main responsibilities and leading roles to keep their classrooms clean, tidy, bright and cheerful. The competition is judged under two categories, which Years 1,2 and 3 are in Category Level 1 whereas, Years 4,5 and 6 are in Category Level 2. Classes under the same category compete against each other to emerge as the champion. This competition is carried out weekly throughout the year which a judge is appointed weekly from the panel to assess the level of cleanliness. Besides general cleanliness, classrooms are judged on the tidiness, brightness, creativity of displaying students’ work as well as efforts in beautifying the classrooms. The winning classes are awarded with a certicate to recognise and value their all-out effort and great diligence performing their duties and responsibilities. At the end of the year, a judge will give a verdict on the overall champion from Category Level 1 and Level 2, respectively. A gift or a cake will be presented to the overall champion on which the winning class will decide.

9. Description of activity : The I Care Di Zi Gui was initiated with the

intention to promote the importance of doing good manners in student’s daily life. It

involved all the students from Year 1 to Year 6 in SJK(C) Woon Hwa. The Parent-

Teacher association SJK C Woon Hwa organised a talk about Di Zi Gui on 22th

June 2017. The lecturer talk was Mr. Chia Ku who has been giving the talk around

the primary and secondary schools in Malaysia. After the talk, the teacher incharge

( teacher guidance dan counselling SJK C Woon Hwa) explains the meaning by

using some video film every Monday in the school hall. In addition, the students

recite Di Zi Gui during recess for ten minutes at their assembly point respectively.

Some quizzes are designed for students to arouse their interest in recite Di Zi Gui

every Thursday. I Care Di Zi Gui has benefited our students in their healthy mental

development. Many students have shown improvement on their behavior in this

programme.

Students are provided the book of Di Zi Gui.

Students are cheerful and enjoyable during the talk.

1. Programme/ Project Name : Happy Teeth!

2. Date : 15 February 2017

5. Objectives : a. That having clean teeth is an important part

part of having a clean body.

b. To introduce basic brushing techniques

c. To help children ages 7 to 12 understand

the importance of their teeth.

d. Introduces the dentist as a friendly doctor

who helps them take care of their teeth.

9. Description of activity : Happy Teeth is a flexible oral health education program that help pupils to understand teeth are important for eating, talking and having a nice smile. Pupils should brush their teeth twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste and proper brushing techniques. Pupils should get a new child-size toothbrush that is easy to hold. The dentist suggested pupils to brush twice a day to keep our teeth clean and remove plaque, and eat healthy foods.

The dentist introduced the primary tooth development. By the time children are three or four years old, they have 20 teeth.

Pupils listened attentively to the talk of the dentist. The nurse showed an old and new toothbrushes. Have the children to come and identify the one that looked new.

The dentist and nurse demonstrated the basic brushing techniques. Brush twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste. Move the brush back and forth gently in short strokes. Brush

the top, front and back sides of each tooth.

Each of the pupils has a new toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste. They showed a nice smile .

5. Objective : a Provide better tasting and better smelling for drinking water by removing chlorine and bacteria contaminants.

b. Drinking clean, filtered water protects the body from disease and leads to overall greater health.

9. Description of activity : The Drink filtered water health benefits more was initiated with the intention to promote healthy drinking habit among students, and all staffs of SJK (C) Woon Hwa. It caters for all the students from Year 1 to Year 6 in SJK(C) Woon Hwa. The Water Specialist IDE always replace the filter element at school. Drinking filtered water has benefited our students in their physical growth and metal health development. Many students have shown improvement on their academic achievement and weight control along with this programme.


The Water Filters are fixed along the canteen corridor.

intention to promote healthy drinks among students and teachers .It caters for all the students from Year 1 to Year 6 in SJK(C) Woon Hwa. The Nestle Company prepares nourishing drink for students. Milo drink has benefited our students in their physical growth and metal health development.


Nestle Company is delighted to teach the pupils about the benefits of nutritional food and to lead a good and healthy life.

9. Description of activity : Vaccination in Malaysia is scheduled by the Ministry of

Health for the secure and safety for the local residents. Diptheria, Tetanus (DT booster) and second dose of MMR are introduced to the children of Year 1 . The MMR is a safe and effective combined vaccine that protects against three separate illness – measles, mumps and rubella (German measles) in a single injection. The full dose of MMR vaccination requires two doses.

9. Description of activity : Our Ministry of Education (KPM) is collaborated with

Persatuan Kebangsaan Kanser Malaysia (Perak) in many ways for launching Hepatitis B Vaccination for children. Hepatitis is a disease of the liver that cause fever and make our skin become yellowish. Chronic hepatitis B virus remains in a person’s body. It can spread when blood, semen, or other body fluid infected with the Hepatitis B virus enters the body of a person who is not infected. Therefore, injection of Hepatitis B vaccine can prevent hepatitis B and its consequences, including liver cancer and cirrhosis.

9. Description of activity :

1Malaysia Milk Programme (formerly known as the School Milk Programme, PSS) has

been initiated since 1983. It is part of the Food Supplemental Programme (RMT) which

aims to encourage milk drinking among primary school pupils. On July 9, 2010 this

programme began with renaming it to 1Malaysia Milk Programme (PS1M). The PS1M was

initiated with the intention to Improve health and nutritional status of primary school pupils

by fostering the habit of always/constantly drink milk. It caters for all the eligible students

and ensure that students from low-income families are given milk. Each student will

receive two boxes of chocolate flavoured milk (200ml), twice a week. Chocolate flavoured

milk is healthy for teeth, since the cocoa, milk fat, calcium and phosphorus in chocolate

milk may help to protect against cavities. Chocolate milk contains about the same amount

of sugar as an equal amount of unsweetened orange juice. Research shows that kids who

drink chocolate milk don’t have more added sugar or fat in their diet and they are able to

maintain a healthy body weight and better focus in academics. As the result, each school

in this country would raise a new generation who are stronger, slimmer and smarter

through increase of calcium and vitamin intake.
