    e%elopment 'entre has formulated the sllaus for Man and his Surrounding/Alam&Manusia0. This suect was started taught for standard 2 in 1+34,in Mala

    language.

    But after 1 ears, in 5une "66", Ministr of Education proposed that it is need toteach and learn Science and Mathematics in English. So for the eginning, it ust 7ear 1,8orm 1 and 8orm 9/ower0 would commence their Mathematic and Science classes in

    English medium from "66# onwards. 8or other le%els, the use of English to teach

    Mathematic and Science are encouraged ut not compulsor. But started in "663, all theteaching and learning process for suect Science and Mathematics are compulsor for all

    the students, 7ear 1 until Standard 9.

    The rational of teaching Man and his Surrounding /Alam&Manusia0 are ecause

    this suect is one of the important suect to deli%er !nowledge in formal form toprimar school students and it contains !nowledge of science, societ and also human

    eing which is suitale with teaching and learning process. Science process help studentsto in%estigate the surrounding and also the societ and the phenomenon of nature helpthem to ma!e decision in their in%estigation. The integrated !nowledge in
