INTRODUCTION
The objective of this competition is the simultaneous evaluation, within each trade, of several competitors’ performance in completing the set of specific tasks defined in the TD, in identical circumstances. This test project will evaluate the competitor while carrying out the following tasks: Basic techniques in designing, drafting, cutting, assembling, fusing and pressing. The competitor will have to:
Make a design for Traditional Vietnam Aodai
Make a pattern design, create a pattern with drafting system based on the measurement which take on the live models..
Mark, measure, cut, and iron.
Use various industrial machines efficiently.
Finish a few parts of garment with hand sewing.
This Test Project consist of 5 (five) modules with maximum hour of 20 (twenty) hours in 3 (three) days competition.

This Modules are as follows MODULE 1 : Design of Traditional Vietnam Aodai Mandatory garment / subjective marking. The working time for Design of Traditional Vietnam Aodai is 30 minutes. MODULE 2 : PATTERN REALIZATION Maximum working hour for this Module is 1 Hour. Mandatory objective marking MODULE 3 : Construct of Traditional Maximum working hour for constructing Traditional Vietnam Aodai is 10 hours Mandatory garment with objective & subjective marking
Module 4 : Layout and assemble Cullote pant’s Maximum working hour for this module is 5 hours. Mandatory Garment with Objective and subjective marking MODULE 5 : Decorate traditional Vietnam Aodai working hour for this module is 3 hours and 30 minutes Mandatory Garment with objective and subjective marking This test project is made of BASIC GARMENT (blind marking) Mandatory garment / objective marking and subjective marking.

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND TASKS
MODULE 1 : Design of Traditional Vietnam Aodai Mandatory garment / subjective marking.
The working time for the Aodai is 30 minutes.
The competitor will show all material which can be used on modules 3 and will make design in A3 Paper size, according to the material given by committee.
Design must be refer to the detail description of the Theme Given “Traditional ”, as follows :
Traditional with long raglan sleeves, fully lined (detachable), with collar (any type), lower side opening have 2 (two) slits, Upper right side opening with snap, buttons or hook and eye, Long with a minimum length 130 cm. at the end of allocated time (30 minutes), design must be submitted finish or unfinished.
This module will be evaluated ON THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
Creativity of design fromTraditional in refer to the minimum fabric used and utilization.
Design proportional technique
Design must display all the information which related to the sewing instruction
MODULE 2 : PATTERN REALISATION
Maximum working hour for this Module is 1 Hour.
Mandatory objective marking
Competitor will received Drawing / Tools for drafting pattern (L- square, hip cure, curve ruler, ruler, french curve, pencils and tape measure) and pattern paper for making the pattern with length 2 Meter and width 1600 mm.
The measurements to be used in making the pattern will be taken from a live model that will be drawn before the competitor draft the pattern
The models can leave once the competitor taken the measurements
MODULE 3 : Construct Vietnam Traditional Aodai
Maximum working hour for this module is 10 hours.
Mandatory garment with subjective and objective marking
Based on the pattern which are made on module 2, competitor will layout the pattern and cut the fabric and fusing some part of tradional Aodai the construct the garment until completed

Opening top side (right side) with snap button or hook and eye.

THE OUTER OF WILL BE EVALUATED ON THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
Measurements. (Accurate measurement of the garment according to the pattern.)
Mandatory techniques and specifications.
Overall appearance. (Drape and shape of the garment.)
Quality of the mandatory garment. (Neatness of the garment, sewing and finishing.)

MODULE 4 : CONSTRUCT CULLOTE PANTS Mandatory garment / objective and subjective marking.
The working time for the cullote Pants of is 5 hours.
The competitor will receive a basic block pattern for pants, technical drawing (ASC2014_TP31_ID) and the test project. They will have to prepare the fabric, lay out the pattern, cut the fabric, fuse some parts of the garments and sew the garments using all the notions provided.

To make a Cullote pants with front invisible zipper
Pants with 2 straight side pocket
2 dart on front and 2 dart on back
Waistband height 1.5cm

THE CULLOTE PANTS WILL BE EVALUATED ON THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
Cutting/pattern layout. (Optimal fabric utilization)
Measurements. (Accurate measurement of the garment according to the pattern.)

Instructions to the Competitor
Competitors must use only the fabric and accessories supplied.
Competitors are not allowed to use mobile phones and music players during the competition time.
Safety rules must be followed at all time on the competition site.

The competitor will receive the completed Aodai top and they will have to decorate it with the materials provided in the mystery box.

Day 1: Module 1
In the beginning of Day 1, all competitor will have explanation about test project, and then will drawing number of models for taking measurement which will use on module 2,
Day 1 : Module 2
Chief expert will give sign to start and stop every module. On the end of time of module 1 all the design will be collected and competitor will directly continue with module 2. Start with taking body measurement, as soon as finished all the models must leave the competition working area.Once the competition time come to the end (1 hour) all the finished pattern will be taken photo for documentation.
Day 1 : Module 3
After break time competitor will start competition of module 3 after end of the time of day 1.
Day 2 : Module 3
Competitor will continue to do a module 3 until submit at the end time of module 3 (please refer the the competition timetables).
Day 2 : Module 4
Competitor will received cullote basic block pattern for pants, material for module 4 and can start directly module 4, starting with cutting pattern and layout pattern on the fabric and must be judge before cutting the fabric.
Day 3 : Module 5
At the starting time of module 5, competitor will receive the Aodai which done on the module 3 and some accessories item in the mystery box and start do the decoration.
